  1. That update will probably break more than it fixes because Bethesda are gonna Bethesda, but some of the currently broken things might be fixed. We'll just have to hope the things that get broken in their place are less annoying.

  2. My rankings;

    1. Fallout: New Vegas
    2. Fallout 1
    3. Fallout 2
    4. Fallout Tactics
    5. Fallout 76
    6. Fallout 3
    7. Fallout 4

New Vegas is Fallout at its very best and it annoys me that Bethesda didn't greenlight a sequel. It doubly annoys me that Bethesda and Obsidian are now under the same company umbrella and they still haven't greenlit a sequel.

  3. Rogers is the reason I'm never going to judge a Villa transfer window again under Emery/Monchi. When we signed Rogers I was underwhelmed because signing a player from the Championship in a season when you're potential title contenders, and vying for Champions League is questionable, but dude... Rogers is class.

  4. I put about 80 hours into Dragon's Dogma 2, got the true ending, and it was pretty good for the most part. I prefer Dragon's Dogma 1, I think it's a vastly better game in a lot of ways, but Dragon's Dogma 2 definitely wasn't bad, I just think it needs an expansion or two to really make it great. My main issues with the game were the lack of difficulty, a terrible main story, and a severe lack of mob variety.

I didn't mind the Portcrystals being very limited, but I did give Capcom feedback that every main city should have a permanent Portcrystal. There are three permanent crystals in the game at three cities/towns, but two cities/towns that players visit quite a bit do not have one. Now, one could say that you should use your portable Portcrystals for those, but I think having 5 permanent ones, and 5 portable ones to earn through playing is better. I truly believe the portable ones should be for farming. If you find a rare mob in a cave then place a Portcrystal so you can kill it every 3-days when things respawn.

Overall, Dragon's Dogma 2 was fun and I enjoyed what I played of it, but it needs quite a bit of work and at least one expansion to be something I'd give higher than a 7/10 to.

  5. We may as well go for it.

If we field a weakened side thinking it's a foregone conclusion then you lose without trying.

If you throw the kitchen sink at it then you might actually win, and if you lose then at least you tried.

I'm a fan of that line up.

  7. My opinion on airing the footage is threefold;

Firstly it vindicates CM Punk as the footage basically showed it to be pretty much how he said. There was one inaccuracy like CM Punk saying Jack Perry approached him when it was 100% the other way round, but aside from that it vindicated him. Yes, CM Punk is a dick, we know that, he knows that, but all the footage showed was that CM Punk was honest about what he did.

Secondly it reopens old wounds for the sake of pushing a storyline. The Bucks lost at All In to FTR because of the brawl and having to deal with it? Stating that FTR were behind it all? If you want to use reality to push a storyline then go with FTR not being championship material, and FTR not being clean enough to be the face of the tag team division. How do they do that? Young Bucks could bring up FTR Bald always causing controversy online, and FTR Hair pulling a gun on someone in a road rage incident. Make it the EVPs on a crusade to clean up the division of miscreants. They didn't need to weave footage of FTR's friend getting Jack Perry into a chokehold.

Thirdly it just looks unprofessional and Tony Schiavone wore the disappointment on his face all night. He looked like a man that had witnessed this kind of bullshit before, and that's because he has in WCW. I understand that AEW can't stand there and be a punching bag, but there are times to punch back and times to leave it alone. This was one such time to leave it alone because CM Punk is untouchable. His whole schtick was being a word removed, so airing the footage just resulted in "Punks gonna Punk" responses, while AEW wound up looking worse for showing it.

On the topic of punching back. Will Ospreay had a jab back at Triple H for labelling AEW signees as lazy for the reduced work schedule. Now, Will is well within his rights to jab back, but firstly he did it on a show that already featured the All In footage, and secondly it puts ex-WWE talent in a very awkward spot. Renee Paquette looked like she wanted to leave the stage once Will started going on about Triple H skipping the hard work by sleeping with Stephanie McMahon. Renee is very good friends with both of them, as are many people in the locker room because 50% of AEW now is ex-WWE. It was easier to jab back at WWE when the roster was 95% indie, and the 5% ex-WWE guys hated WWE, but that's not the case in 2024.

I would love to know how Mania unfolded in that alternate dimension where Rock v Roman went ahead

Roman would have beaten The Rock in the main event of Night 2 and everyone would have carried on with their lives until the next PPV Roman decided to show up for.

The reason I say The Rock would have lost is because The Rock is filming a movie from May til August, so he was never getting the belt unless WWE wanted an even more part time champion than Roman himself.

As for the build? The Rock wouldn't have turned heel because Roman is a heel, and The Rock would have had to try and carry the whole program as a face by himself because Roman barely shows up.

Cody vs Reigns was the only program that made sense.

I came to it a bit later so didn't have that conflict as the patreon was already in place. Well worth the money but plenty of good stuff in the youtube clips like you say.

In other news following CM Punk taking a jab at them in some interviews AEW have announced they are going to show the CCTV footage of the backstage fight at Wembley. I think there is a paper thin scenario were this ends up being a good idea. If I was betting, I recon it will show they were in the right and Punk is full of shit but still have the effect of turning a lot of people off from AEW.

It is 1000% a terrible idea to air their dirty laundry like this even if that dirty laundry has, "CM Punk is a lying word removed" written on it. What they prove by airing this is potentially not enough of a win to counter how unprofessional it'll make them look. That said, I like to watch the world burn from time to time, so I'm excited to see this footage and excited to witness the aftermath on wrestling Twitter.

  10. We've been found out at times this season.

We either need to switch things up, or recruit in a major way in the Summer so that we just blow most teams away with pure quality.

As it stands we're not good enough to win games when our tactics fall apart. Our league position is more a sign of how long it has taken to be found out, but the last 8-10 games have not been the same Villa that got us Europe, or got us most of our current points.

As I was typing that we concede number 3... Pathetic.

Or if they do samurai for one and ninja for the other two very identifiable different gameplay modes?

    Smaller map but tighter gameplay

Yeah, it'll be very curious to see what they do. I would definitely prefer a smaller map as I'm not a huge fan of the Valhalla style oversized map with thousands of copy and paste objectives/things to collect or find.

Would be cool if they did hanzo hattori that would be the shogun setting

Or Goemon just a bit before it

That time period would be awesome

Seeing what time period it's specifically set in will be cool to see.

I'm also curious how the game will stand out. I wonder if the game will be more stealth focused given Ghost of Tsushima and now Rise of the Ronin have been more action based games.

  13. Last I heard the games official name is Assassin's Creed: Shadows and it will be getting its full reveal at Ubisoft Forward on June 10th. The game will likely be coming out October/November 2024 (unless it gets pushed back).

Feudal Japan setting and unless things have changed will feature a female samurai and a male shinobi as playable characters. Unknown if you play as both, or if the player chooses between them at the start.

Should be a good game, and it's also potentially the first game that will be part of Assassin's Creed: Infinity which is a real time hub area where the modern day story will now take place. Not sure what that means for the games connected to it and how those games are bought, or even how they are accessed through this hub, but I am sure they'll explain it on June 10th.

  14. Team ICO and Fumito Ueda has always been about crafting experiences to remember that transcend whatever annoyances you felt at the time. Almost no one complains about how shit Shadow of the Colossus was to play because they only remember the feelings of triumph, and the overall awe inspiring world. The Last Guardian is very much the same. It controls like shit, but the bond the player creates with Trico is one that very few games have managed to match. It's definitely not a game for everyone, but the same can be said for everything Fumito Ueda touches.

  15. Dragon's Dogma 2 has been pretty good so far. Not super fond of some of the changes made from the original, and their decision to stick with extremely limited fast travel despite the map being 30x larger this time around is certainly a choice. Overall, I'm enjoying it, but I'm still trying to figure out if I like the sequel more than the first game. Undecided.

    Those GFX are insane.

However will it just be another, walk two steps... cutscene....press button repeatedly during cutscene...run 100m, jump, cutscene....repeat...

    Yes.

They have already covered those bases in the marketing material by calling it a "narrative driven action-adventure game". So, think of every cinematic PlayStation exclusive released in the last 11-years and you probably have your "gameplay".

Got my Pre-Order for Dragons Dogma 2 sorted for Friday.

From the bits and pieces of previews I've seen, it looks like potential GOTY material.

I am very curious to see how Dragon's Dogma 2 fairs in the mainstream.

There is a lot of hype around a game that a lot of people didn't play when it first came around, and I'm curious how many people know what they're in for.

Dragon's Dogma 1 is one of my all time favourite games so I am 100% down to get punished hard by the second game, but I feel like the trailers are showing all the cool shit and none of stuff that people may dislike.

I hope people love it though because Dragon's Dogma 2 is the closest we'll get to a true 90's style RPG in 2024. If people liked how hands off Elden Ring was then Dragon's Dogma 2 is even more hands off.

  18. Starfield was a victim of having to create wholly new systems to facilitate what they were trying to do. I imagine 70% of the dev time was spent on engine level upgrades and experimenting with the best way to take a largely on-ground set of tools and making them work in space. Starfield itself likely had the same 2-3 year dev cycle that all of their games get once the game engine was up to speed, which is why I think Elder Scrolls 6 is closer than people think (2026, not 2030 like I have some people suggest online). That said, I think Starfield will go down as a neat experiment. I think it'll go down as something Todd Howard wanted to make for 25-years, something he finally got to make, and he likely won't make another one.

I wasn't huge into Starfield. I played it for around 13 hours, and I might dive back in when they add vehicles and when the expansion comes out, but until then navigating planets felt like a waste of time. I was just running around when a vehicle was sorely needed.

And you deliberately killing us all for the 76th time thinking it's still funny

Can you kill people in this? I have literally no idea what it is. Could be a crossword game for all I know

You can team kill in this game.

It's often done by mistake, but it can also be done on purpose by someone that just wants to watch the world burn.
