  1. Absolutely - recalling the 5Live feature on Monday Pat Murphy could barely contain the giggles as he was slating Fox. I'm not saying everything is perfect - but to criticise a club for trying to be well run and financially stable is laughable.
  2. Like increasing commercial revenue for example? You know? That thing Tom Fox has been absolutely battered for talking about?
  3. Bookies aren't switched onto anything. They reflect the amount of money people are prepared to bet. Nothing else. Essentially the chance of us signing Adebayor is 50/50. (c) Useless 2015.
  4. I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave above. They will bloody lose this and at this rate, by 10 wickets, helpfully getting the Saffers back into form in time for the final two tests in the process.
  5. Quite possibly. Especially if that sanctimonious plonker who appeared on here when the trust was set up is anything to go by.
  6. Didn't think that was strictly true. Huddersfield have an extra 1 year option don't they?
  7. Possibly but it was clearly sufficient to illustrate the point which you understood perfectly.
  8. So we are holding the CEO to account due to a chronic failure of the playing staff? Tom Fox is liable in my eyes for one piece of gross negligence and that is the failure to sack Sherwood after the FA Cup final.
  9. I believe he gives a toss - he's got that Berbatov casually deliberate air about him though which doesn't necessarily translate well when a team is struggling. As for loaning him out it could break him. It shouldn't be seen as a punishment but I absolutely agree he needs to change his attitude.
  10. To be fair Richard given your hugely strong opinions on Lambert at the time of his appointment I think people challenging your opinion re: Lerner and the Board is perfectly valid.
  11. On the attitidue vs talent debate - I'd take someone with the right attitude and less talent than a hugely talented primadonna every day of the week. I'd rather have James Milner than Ashley Young. Harry Kane vs Wayne Rooney etc etc
  12. Nah. If they too feisty Beijing will bitch slap them back into place. They might me nutters - but they know what they can/can't get away with.
  13. Loud, sustained, rapturous standing ovation.gif This x infinity.
  14. Said this on twitter a couple of days ago. Far more effective than any petition or random abuse-fest in car park. Just like the Ellis £ stuff a dignified powerful symbolic gesture that even the knobs in the media cannot misinterpret.
  15. They're going to lose this. They're going to bloody well lose this.
  16. because FM is SO accurate. Yep. This 100%. IMO Lerner was convinced that Champions League was attainable pre-Man City and the financial arms race really kicking off. I assume he thought the CL revenues would offset his expenditure. He quickly realised that wasn't possible and told MON he needed to balance the books. FFP plays a role in that in the sense that our wages were such a high % of our overall turnover it made sinking more ££ into the club difficult even if Lerner had the money and/or the inclination. MON had a wobbly and stomped off - cue a succession of managers more in tune or at least willing with the idea of cutting costs and maintaining league position. Lerner's lack of investment is a major cause in our current plight. Do I blame him for that? No not really. If I owned the club I wouldn't piss millions of £s up the wall trying to achieve something that is quite impossible. It cannot however be denied that Lerner has invested in the club and given a series of managers sufficient funds to keep us in the league - and that until this season they have achieved that aim. Even above McLeish - Lerner/Fox's biggest crime for me is the appointment of Sherwood. What I find amazing is that the major constant in this story is the playing staff who largely appear to get away scott free when it comes to the blame game. Yes - its easy to be cross at Lerner but there are other more important reasons for our failings.
  17. I'm absolutely not saying there is. Its why the club will not "do a Leeds" because we aren't up to our ears in debt.
  18. I don't think Lerner has cited FFP but what he has said is that the club has to live within its means and work as a going concern eg. reduce wages/increase turnover. It is clear that he has neither the means nor the inclination to dump money in to the club in the manner of Man City and Chelsea.
  19. Is it just me or is there going to be a huge Middle Eastern **** in the near future. A massive Shia vs Sunni religious war? (worth noting that yes - the Middle East is already a but of a mess)
  20. England have made a mighty fine effort at making this series competitive again. Batting practice for AB, Amla and now Du Plessis - this match will be a draw but I have a horrible feeling this series is going to end badly.
  21. GRRM confirmed on his blog that WoW is not finished (and nowhere near so) apparently and won't be released prior to the HBO S6 opener in April as was the original plan.
  22. Given my experience with our FreeLander 2 I'd avoid those like the plague as well. Wonderful car to drive, superbly comfortable. Built and assembled by chimps.
  23. If "Inside Out" doesn't win the Best Film Oscar no animated film ever will. Brilliant, beautiful, touching and superbly observed. An absolute triumph.
  24. There is a batshit crazy spotify playlist in the Metal section devoted to Metal cover versions. A mixed bag but worth a look.
  25. Out. Just get out. You couldn't be more wrong. You too. Go on. Out. You can stay.
