He did both of those yesterday
He didn’t really. Our play was completely pedestrian until Ramsey came on. He added real zip to the centre of the park (although at this stage Nakamba is still the better all round player).

Agreed I was never a Nakamba fan. But back end of last season and in pre season he looks a totally different player to the one that arrived a couple of years back.
I like him and there’s definitely a place in the squad for him but the problem with Nakamba is he never loses the ball because he makes slow, predictable, backwards passes with no zip. He also does not carry the ball forward. It results in us being so predictable and easy to play against. If we are to play successfully through the thirds then you need progressive passers and carriers.

I can honestly say that I have never seen this guy play live but looking at his stats and YouTube videos, he looks exactly the type of player that I have been hoping we would sign for about 5 years! I really hope that this is true. We do lack that dynamic presence in midfield. He could be worth £50m in a couple of years.
Another productive day from me!

He has to start on Saturday. I actually think he earns his place on merit but also, he knows how to take a free kick/corner. Even by our standards, yesterday’s were embarrassing!

Not sure I agree with that. I dont think there is much difference in my opinion and I definitely dont think Cash is bad as you are saying in brackets.
I was thinking the same about Cash. He seems to have dipped since his early form. Targett is a much better football player. Cash needs to be more confident and not take the safe option every time.

I’m sure that I read somewhere that he wasn’t suspended following his red. Maybe he is injured again.

Unless we sort out or central midfield, we are going to have a very frustrating season. It is so laboured at times and utterly predictable. Dynamism required.

M6 M69 = Leicester
I live in Leicester. You would take the A50 across to the M1. He’s probably just going on a day out.

We need an attacking midfielder, if you look at our squad logically it's easy to see that and I'm not sure why it's not being talked about more, if anything I'd say we need an attacking midfielder more than we need a DM, we've lost Barkley and Grealish from last season, and Hourihane is likely to go as well.
At the moment the only way we get away with not signing an attacking midfielder is by playing players out of position, such as the suggested Watkins, Ings, Bailey front three with Buendia behind them, but why move Buendia from the right hand side the position where he was so good for Norwich and showed the form that prompted us to by him, or why move Watkins from his central striking role when he's been so good there for the last two seasons, seems lopsided to me and doesn't make total sense.
I think Ings will play that role. Ollie up top with Ings in behind. Emi on the right. Bailey on the left.

What about a cheeky bid for Grealish. You could probably pick him up for £40m now!

I don’t understand this. In June we were afraid if City would come and activate a suspected buyback clause around 30m and now we want to sell for 25m?
The market is flat. He only has 2 years left on his contract. £25m would be a decent deal.
-
I think if we got a decent offer, I would sell him. I like him as a player and I think he will get better but I don’t think he is the DM that we need. We are also well stocked in central midfield so if we are going to buy a destroyer then someone needs to make way.
If selling Doug for £25m enables us to sign Bissouma for £50m then it’s a deal worth doing. It also allows more flexibility with financial fair play if we need to dabble in January. Add in a loan/free gk and cb and we will have had a great window.

Joe Willock isn't an exciting player at all, he just hit a purple patch for about a dozen games last year.
You can buy propper quality abroad for 25mI would seriously question our whole structure and system if we pay anything for Willock. He couldn’t even get a start for Newcastle. Most of his goals came from the bench. He is a younger version of Conor without the sweet left foot. He will end up in the Championship at best.

We will definitely sign a GK, a centre half and a centre midfielder. I am 100% certain of this fact (please ignore the fact that I said I was 100% certain that Jack was staying ). I am due one to be fair.

Hoping grealish off is announced early and then someone new in before end of the day.
Was disappointed and upset yesterday but feeling positive and excited today.

Totally agree. Not sure who this Grealish is that you mention but a new signing would be great. Midfield enforcer please Deano and Lange.

Ah right, I thought it was the other way around! Oh well, we will see. What about Buendia too, is he out and out right wing or is he more central?
I think he prefers the right but can play central. It is interesting to see how Dean plans to fit it all together! We will likely be less predictable this season.

I think similar but I think Bailey will be left with Ings centrally behind Ollie.
Do you not think that leaves us a little unbalanced? I also think that Bailey prefers the right (although he is comfortable on the left). It will be interesting to find out I guess. All eyes on Saturday!

I think Watkins will stay in the middle with Ings left and Bailey right. No way Watkins gets shifted.

We expecting to sell someone? Right now we have:
Douglas
McGinn
Nakamba
Sanson
Chukemwueka
Ramsey
Buendia
Who can all play #8. I'd say 1 more quality midfielder, preferably a DM would be nice. But I don't think we need 2.
We need better quality. Hopefully Buendia will be class but the others are nowhere near the quality for a top 6 team yet. They might get there but they are not there yet.

We are a couple of centre mids away still. Hope the rest of the dosh is spent rectifying that. If it is, then we are in for a good season.

Bertie?
Will be either him or Bailey on the right I guess. Ollie in the middle. Ings on the left.
-
Think we may go with a more narrow front 3 and look to bolster the midfield. 2 holders with Emi in a more advanced central role and a narrow front 3 of Ings, Ollie and Bailey! More width from our full backs.
