Only 8 to go and we are in an amazing position. Getting 4 points from those last 2 matches is massive considering everything. Let’s hope Utd slip up tonight.

I absolutely love this crazy Colombian madman. He’s so good for 20 year old.

I think 4 wins will get us top 5 and 5 wins would probably get us top 4. Hopefully the first of those will come tomorrow. I also think we will win one of the games against the top 3. It’s very much in our control and we absolutely should get top 5 at least. We need to stay calm and get behind the lads no matter what happens. COYVB. UTV

Heartbreaking. What a player. He could do it all. I’m still not sure which was his strongest foot. Two wands for feet. Love you Sid you legend.

I agree. Man City will totally fleece someone for Jack. He’s a busted flush. You can’t be an elite footballer these days and not live a healthy lifestyle. He will go somewhere and they will be stuck with him on massive wages until his contract runs down. Avoid at all costs.
We were very fortunate to get the very best of Jack and what a privilege it was. Better to remember those days rather than trying to re-live them!

Another incredibly talented youngster. We are in a great place as a club. We can’t expect too much from them (our young players). We need to support them and enjoy the fact that we have so many talented youngsters representing their countries at various age groups.
I think Tim will be a top player. In a couple of years I expect him to be a PL regular. Another reason to enjoy what’s happening. It’s really incredible the progress that we have made over the past 5 years.

Him conceding more goals than our other keepers doesnt really mean anything in terms of talent ability and importance. Must admit i am suprised by the stat though.
We have always been a defensive counter attacking team. This impacted us at both ends of the pitch. Low risk/low reward football. We didn’t score many but we conceded even fewer.
We are much more attacking these days. We score loads but also concede many chances to the opposition. We can only really afford to do this because Emi is so amazing. We trust him to get us out of trouble time and again. Obviously, he is also going to concede more as a result of the number of chances we give up.

Anybody got any idea what’s happening with his injury? Will he be back for Wolves? We really need him back and flying. Hopefully he can come back and stay fit for the rest of the season now.

Only 1-0. We will be better in the second half. We are going to win this. Keep the faith.

I’ve no idea what to make of that starting line up. It feels very light in midfield to me. I wonder if he is going to totally change tactics, sit deep and play direct counter attacking football!
One things for sure, Moyes will not have seen that coming. The score could be anything from 0-0 to 5-5 or maybe 4-0 either way! Who knows! Trust in Unai. UTV. COYVB.

Big game this obviously. Our boys need to be prepared to go to war. If we do, then I think we will edge it. I’ll always back Unai to find a way for us to bounce back after a poor afternoon last Sunday. 1-2 to us. COYVB. UTV.

He was promising again last night. He oozes class on the ball. His technique and vision are very good but he desperately needs to learn how to tackle!
You can see why we signed him though. He has lots of potential.

We have never had another 20 year old striker as exciting as him in all my years as a fan. We really should be excited by his potential. He’s got the lot and if he somehow manages to piece it all together then the potential is massive. He could be a £100m footballer one day.

Been excellent so far. Hopefully get a goal to boost his confidence.

He did ok when you consider everything. He’ll learn from it. You can tell that he has the ability. Ajax aren’t great but it was still a big stage for a rookie tonight.

Thought his thread would be at the top tonight. For a guy of his experience, he was so bad tonight. It’s still early days for him but apart from a few good performances pre Christmas, he’s been way off it. He just does not appear to have the physical capability to play at a high level anymore. You can’t fault his effort but the lack of quality is really telling.

Worst ref of the season. Poor from us though. Draw just about the right result. We move on and hopefully no injuries.

I do hope the rumours aren’t true. McGinn, Watkins, Martinez and Luiz are the 4 we will need for every match between now and the end of the season. There are other really important players too but those 4 are irreplaceable with our current fit alternatives!

I really like what I saw, thought he was good on the ball, had good awareness and fitted in seamlessly, for the most part. Yes he tired, yes he struggled when momentum swung to Luton - but that has happened to far more experienced players this season, and will continue to do so. No issues with taking him off, he probably planned for 5mins, hoped for 30 but got a good 65 mins run out - all positives.
i saw enough to see he will be a good player for us, as I said in other thread would like to see him in the second striker/10 role youri played in - think will give us more there.
I agree. He would give us greater mobility and physicality in the Youri role. It is easier to play from a defensive perspective too. After a pre season with Unai, I think this guy will really blossom next year.
-
I genuinely feel sorry for him. It’s just not happening for the poor guy. He always tries hard but just looks so out of his depth. No way we make his move permanent.

If we need to sell anyone, I would sell him. He’s not athletic enough which is a massive shame because he can play.
-
It’s unbelievable that we got him signed on a new contract. There will still be serious interest in him at the end of the season but we will never sell. Him and Emi are priceless to us. Both totally brilliant and totally irreplaceable. I really hope he gets his 20 league goals this season. He really deserves it. Top player. Top bloke.

He’s been class this season. He is a top professional too. He always gives his best and more often than not that’s good enough. I think he’s better than Alex at the moment. He starts next week for me.

I think he will turn into a 10. He has impressive ability and physicality. Unai could carve him into something special in time.
