  1. I agree with the sentiment, but we have no real option, I'd rather Richardson than throwing in an untested youth player in a desperate time.
  2. 7? I can only count 4, Albrighton, Young, Delph and Collins, 5 if you include Walker but I don't think he really counts as he was a short term loan. who are the others? Edit: Nevermind, misread your post as top 6, top 8 would obviously include Davis and Barry too. Also Bertrand and Cleverley if you include loans
  3. Berbatov played 33 times in the league that season, Rooney may have been the main man in that team, but he wasn't quite up front on his own.
  4. To be fair to Fergie, I think he recognised that and never really played him up front on his own, Rooney always had a partner that did the more typical striker stuff under Fergie, he had partnerships with van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo + Tevez, Berbatov and van Persie, it's only since Fergie left has he been used more as a solo striker. When there is another player upfront Rooney's style doesn't damage the team at all, but he simply isn't disciplined enough to play there on his own.
  5. Going for it a bit it seems, looks a good team.
  6. Do you really think a player can just make the decision to swan off for warm weather training for a couple weeks, and still seemingly be abroad a few days before a match? There is no way that Gabby going abroad for warm weather training wasn't directed by the club somehow. Maybe the new manager is the first in a while to realise that warm weather training can benefit a player so sent him away for a bit?
  7. Just switched this on, looking at the stats it seems we're typically getting dominated. One question, how the hell is Delph in the squad yet alone the starting XI when he's played a grand total 27 minutes for City this season.
  8. Yeah, astute point, Pellegrini probably felt Delph would be motivated to play well and put himself about, but it really had the opposite effect. Delph looked affected by the abuse he was getting and as you say, our lot got a lot more vocal. I think it did motivate him, unfortunately for City that meant he was hanging around the 6 yard box constantly trying to score and not helping the team.
  9. Come on, Gestede was clearly trying to throw it out for a goal kick, he point's to the goal several times to indicate that, it's not his fault Hart tried to control it and **** up So why does he charge after the ball the instant he has thrown it? He doesn't though. He waits a second, then when Hart moves towards the ball he does too, to presumably stop Hart from clearing it.

  11. Conversely, nice to see Guzan trying his best to not lose the game. That happened literally seconds after I posted it.
  12. Great save, made up for some of his errors today with that.
  13. Harsh Free Kick I think, Gana can't help if he slips over. And nice to see Guzan trying his hardest to lose the game
  14. To be fair, Garde said the exact same thing in an interview with Sky.
  15. No Gestede, Gabby, Lescott or Richardson Now to just seem like we know what we're doing and I'll be happy.
  16. How many minutes has he played for us? Dont understand how people can judge him based off his limited appearances. All i know is that he changed the game against Crystal Palace. Yup, we bought him on and lost No we brought him on and we were loosing. When he was on the pitch we drew. It was 0-0 when he came on, they scored instantly after, Palace exploited the gap left by Sanchez to force a corner.
  17. Looks like he's starting to find his feet with Derby, scored the winner for them v QPR tonight, 2 in 2 now, hopefully he can kick on as I really liked him despite his poor form here.
  18. To be fair, if it wasn't a Villa player, it'd be funny to us as well. Gabby had 8 touches, 2 were kick offs, that's a **** embarrassment. Hopefully, if/when Garde drops him, he just shows him that clip as his justification, nothing else would be necessary.
  19. The fact that the physio is still dragging him around shows he's clearly not alright and he's not just being a pussy.
  20. Really enjoying this so far, finished 9th and got to the FA Cup final first year and starting to have a really good squad signing players like Embolo, Vilhena, Van Rhijn, Cillesen, S.Bender and Gimenez to name a few, though some of that is down to the rich consortium that took over. I did miss having Benteke first season, Ayew was good occasionally but stuttered a lot, Embolo came in in January, and Gestede was awful, so it's a good job Klopp only played him 6 times that year... £12.5M! He was essentially loaned out for £20m for the year
  21. That's the thing with release clauses though, you kinda don't have a choice.
  22. I just really don't see us sacking someone with only half a season PL experience, to replace him with someone with none. Theres just to many millions at stake. Randy will want the best bloke to get us 17th and secure his TV money. But Sherwood wasn't sacked because he lacked experience, he was sacked because he was a moron that was getting us relegated through sheer incompetence. If anything, hiring Sherwood shows the board care less about experience and more about who they can get on the cheap, which would point to Garde.
  23. It's not exactly a bad job to have had, and it's better than a few months at Spurs.
