I don't think anyone on the current board have the Nous to appoint a really good manager, by that I mean someone who would need prising away from a club and persuading to come to Aston Villa. McLeish is, quite plainly and simple the wrong man to appoint ... my predication is that he lasts less than a season ... and this will ultimately see the beginning of the end of Randy Lerner too. All this stuff about I'm only the custodian of the club it belongs to the fans rubbish Lerner spouted on his arrival has now well & truly been tarnished and forgotten about by him. Sad days ahead for my club ... the club I supported well before Randy Lerner became owner .. and still my club long after he's gone !

I would imagine an enquiry was lodged at a bookies to see if they would accept this level of money and what the odds were should he have his bet accepted ! Someone I know in the Betting Marketplace has just e mialed me to say that a client has just placed £365k on Owen Coyle as the New Villa manager ! No ITK knowledge just a word from a friend in the betting industry !

I can tell you that La Stampa ... most definitely re hased a very old interview with Ancelotti and that the comments reported yesterday are not from a curent interview. Sky Sports News jumped on the story via thier Italian counterpart Sky Italia and there is nothing from either La Stampa or Sky Italia in todays copy ... surely if they'd had such an "exclusive" this would have run for a few more days ? yet the coverage in Italy has disappeared just as quickly as it arrived !

I was convinced by someone I trust that Ancelotti was going to be announced this week ! Hence this mornings post on here. I was also told that the comments from the Italian "rag" (La Stampa, in Italy they have all the authenticity of the Daily Mirror) about him wanting 6 months off and studying colleagues working methods have been re hashed from a previous interview given sometime ago - and they've also been duplicitous reports as to whether we've been in touch or not, so apologies for coming over as another crap ITK - it wasn't my intention & I think I'll now leave it to folk who have more information than I do !

You know you've just opened the floodgates to another 20 pages of speculation today!! Where have you heard this? Too right what's the story Gadzooks? I am just reporting what I've been told from a someone I know who works at a top european betting agency ! They have been told to suspend betting on Ancelotti as Villa manager until further notice .. I perhaps in hindsight shouldn't have posted & tried to change the message ... I'm not here to get slagged off for sharing what I hear ! Oh well .......
