  1. It’s very Aston Villa of us to allow others to reap the rewards of taking risks or showing some immense ambition. Quite why we have failed to either expand on what we have or aim to move elsewhere is just insane. We’ll be left behind again. Oh well.

  2. So in summary of the last 10 or so pages - Birmingham are going to have a much larger and better stadium than us and will benefit from all of the commercial revenue that comes with that, whilst we struggle along with our out-of-date stadium and lack of investment in that area… but… we will still see better football being played at VP?

  3. Might as well start the league with the top 6 having 2 wins each and us having 12 defeats and then play the rest of the games. Embarrassingly non competitive when it comes to this lot. Yes I know we got a win against Tottenham, but…. Meh.

Our current form is better than their current form.

By almost every metric, except for a small snapshot in January, we have been better than United at every turn.

Hmm, not based on the last 6 it isn’t… they have collected more points than us. They also beat us twice in the space of a few weeks. They may not be the United they once were but they can still pull wins out their ass.
Winning is a little harder for us to come by in the league since the start of the new year.

  5. I’m still not seeing how some people are comfortable with how things stand as far as United are concerned. What am I missing? I get the 9 points clear (they have a game in hand) and the sizeable GD which acts as a point, but, if they end up being 6 behind, with our run and current form, it is almost theirs to lose… talk of a crazy turn around in results from our part and their part isn’t actually that far off… Very nervous. Wish I had the confidence that some of y'all have.

    Missing today:

    Kamara

    Carlos

    McGinn

    Ramsey

And that's just from players who have played this season, and not mentioning Mings or Buendia.

The rest of that lot have played 3 times this week. 5 times in 14 days. He's having to juggle keeping them as fresh as humanly possible. Squeaking out a point away at West Ham is actually really good.

    Carlos was on the bench.

Most of it has been enforced by injuries in fairness.

Yeaaa but, it hasn’t always been the case. I mean, just play Cash at RB and play Konsa at CB next to Pau. At the moment probably play Digne as well because he is the stronger LB overall.

  8. Wish he would stop pi$$ing about with the defence so we can actually get some consistency back. Getting a bit annoyed with our defensive game these past few months in the league.

  9. I was prescribed Sertraline very recently as I have been struggling for a few months with health anxiety. I’ve had it many years but never taken anything to try and manage it. However, I feel as though I have been ill since December, keep getting colds and sore throats. Anyway, I got so fed up that I decided to go the doctors to have a general check over and request some blood tests. Also described how it has been making me feel, impacting on my work, and how December is a pretty sad time now since my mother died over Christmas 2022.

Blood tests have come back clear which is good news. But now I am left with the decision on whether or not I start on the anti-depressants. I have no idea what to do.

  10. The issue is what has been created by the men’s game. That the top clubs there are the ones that everyone wants to play for in the womens game as well, which is rediculous. It should never have got that. So until that level of thinking changes football in both the men’s and women’s games will be forever broken. It’s not fair.

  11. Life is what you make it. Same sort of thing applies to the future of Aston Villa. We have people who want to achieve great things, we are still in the fairly early stages of a process. We clearly are far from perfect, but I don’t have any doubt that we will see continuous improvement for the next few years at least.

The third goal is everything I can't stand about this bloke...He's the fresh legs and he just stops and starts throwing his arms around like a proper **** word removed.

Sooner he is gone the better, I'm fed up of him being brought on as a last roll off the dice to be absolutely **** shit again.

Ok, but other than that, do you think he is a good player?

  13. It’s a yellow at most. Reckless maybe, it’s late, it’s not a red. Admittedly I haven’t seen the full context of play leading up to it.
