  1. Can#t tell the difference between the teams...usual shower of piss....Bruce's gameplan seems to be for every match run around a lot and hope for a goal.
  2. We need that elusive 'attacking' ringer. Having a defensive one is great (if you still believe JT has it, which is up for debate) but you aren't going to get promoted with loads of 0-0's.
  3. I think too many people are hood-winked by those acquisitions. They were still at the end of the day Championship players at clubs in the bottom half of the table. We need/needed players that are capable of playing at Premier League level, not a load of semi-decent championship players. See my rather excellent post on 'ringers' in the what we need to get promoted thread. As for Bruce, he isn't going to last is he? Watching Hutton over-lapping today *shudder*.
  4. Which is the best game to watch? Is it HT? Stream says back shortly..
  5. I'm not fussed how we go up we made lots of agents rich last season with our shit signings !
  6. Wow Wolves have bought Neves from Porto for Championship record 15.8 million. He's quality way better than Championship. They are going the about Promotion that we should have done. We won't finish above them next season. So erm, when's Glenn Whelan signing?
  7. Joe Hart would obviously be a coup. Whilst I still think Man City are trying to get rid of him completely, if a loan was to transpire wages wouldn't be an issue. He was at Torino! A club that wasn't even in Europe. Presumably they subsidise his wage, like we would be doing. He's on approximately 110k a week. Now if Joe were to go to a Premier League club , he could probably get 70-80k and first team football. I would suggest this is his and Man City's preferred choice unless he is driven by greed and wouldn't take a pay dip. He could/would get a longer contract (2019) too which would offset the wage dip. So the only scenario I see him coming here is if a PL club don't want him, which you would day is very unlikely. Manchester City not wanting him to go to a Premier League team is complete guff, they don't give a shit and Pep doesn't rate him at all.
  8. Man City want to sell Joe Hart not loan him (ESPN ,The Sun) out again so that rules us out. Think we are stuck with this muggy Man Utd keeper. Some exciting flair/attacking players would be good/essential given the only time we looked like scoring last season was Kodjia creating something out of nothing.
  9. Getting rid of this clown and actually getting paid for the real money for him would be the best bit of business we'll do this summer. DO IT.
  10. When somebody's ready I'll await the list of defenders currently playing at a top level at the age of 36-37. Another well intentioned but ultimately naive waste of money. We were already an aging slow sluggish team. Dreading playing Brentford already.
  11. Great signing. Think we should put bids in for Pele and Maradona too.
  12. I still don't get why he would come here and turn down presumably bigger and better deals from elsewhere, but kudos to him for that. I'm not massively excited about him as a player now, 36 year old defenders aren't my thing. But if it influences other players to come it will be a good thing. "If Villa is good enough for John Terry, they are good enough for me".
  13. Hahaha everyone saying how much they liked those 3 stripey mock-ups that looked like Motorcycle/Rugby shirts, they were bloody horrific I do like this new one (love the lions) but as someone has pointed out, it's purple, not claret !
  14. Wolves getting in Nuno is a massive coup for them and almost guarantees we will finish behind them. We continue to fall behind in all aspects. Don't expect automatic promotion, you will be disappointed.
  15. Huddersfield congratulations, shows what can happen when you get a proper manager in.
  16. This is because he's a British manager and the media pundits all believe "he is the man for the job". It's brainwashing. A bit like Kim Jon Un does to his people but without the intent.
  17. Bruce should have been sacked after those 7/8 losses, unforgivably bad run .....not many managers in any league survive a run like that. At least he has "sorted our defence" out though.
  18. Must be the only fans on the planet who are pleased to have a limited transfer budget. Testament to how shit we are with money.
  19. Honestly, this club has had its day...we are now nothing more than a footballing charity for shit players , been that way for a while. Mediocre footballer? Yes, want a nice big contract? Yes - give AVFC a call they are here to help players like you.
  20. LOL we win this every year. Must be the easiest job in football being our groundsman.
  21. I'm going to avoid saying the obvious as there's plenty on that already. What we do need however is a ringer! A what you say? A Shelvey, a Knockaert. The two top promoted clubs went up because of these two players. A player who of this standard. Premier League ilk but playing for us. What we got this season were loads of 'decent' Championship players. Find a ringer, pay him well. The single most effective thing we can do. One decent player is better than 5 average players. Scout the top leagues for him. Do it now.
  22. If we keep in it means Tony Xia's ambition is FAUX. Simples.
  23. Nah still want Bristol to score to see the scenes at VP.
  24. Hopefully we get hammered by a few more to put pressure on SB. C'mon Brighton even though I'm slightly amused at their fans pretending they are bothered about "winning the league" when already promoted?! Don't think I would care.
  25. Who cares if Hogan is injured? He's always injured anyway. He hasn't touched the ball whilst playing for us yet despite costing shit loads. I know a lot of this is down to SB but this guy has no endeavour. I really don't give a shyte.
