  1. I don't think he is the permanent answer to our goal scoring dilema but I feel its time and worth to inject some changes. Change can have a very positive effect. If only temporary it could help us get some momentum going. I'd like to think he would be up for it. As a minimum to at least put himself in the shop window

  2. I would of liked to see Adohma being kept on for another season. I know he didn't have a great season but he is a player who is capable of pulling the rabbit out of the hat and finding the back of the net when needed. I always think he is a good sub to have on the bench.

  3. Wednesday have big problems with Forister and Bannan out. Those players missing will hurt them more than us being without Jack and Albert. Tough place to play though. Their new manager seems to have tightened up their squad at the back so we will have to keep chipping away at them throughout.

A quick word for his Subs tonight, in subtle ways they set up that winning goal. Crucially they were positive in intent, I love that we now look for the Win right until the last ...great stuff.

Yeah we haven't seen that push to the very end for many years. In the championship you just have to go for it and that mentality seems to have set in. If that same mentality can now be transferred into the fight back to get back in the game when we are down then we will be the real deal!

John Ruddy is second.  Must be something to do with good clubs having good keepers?

Superb performance tonight.  Snodgrass shouldn't have been MOTM, this guy was.

I agree. Sam MOTM for me too

Just like the Sheff Utd game! :D

Although I agree. 2-0 in the 1st half. No way back for Barnsley. I would however, take a 1-0 win in the 90th minute off the arse of Hogan!

I feel though that Barnsley's attacking threat is not as dangerous as Sheff Utd's by quite some way. However as you say I'll take a 1-0 90 minute winner if needs be.

  7. If play like we did in the last 3 league games then they should end up a beaten team. If we are as good defensively as we have been recently the attack should eventually find a way through. I'd like to see an earlyish 2 goal lead for comfort.

  8. So they want a manager who's ego is more important than the good of the club? How long before he falls out with and benches their best players like he did with us. Bent (wasted), Given (wasted).

  9. This will be a good test for us against viable promotional opposition. If we are good enough to be promoted then we should be good enough to see them off. If we don't then at this stage of the season promotion will be very questionable.

Why is the message not getting across though? Is it the manager or is it now all the players? Or are the players now turning on the manager?

I think it's the players but then I guess the manager and coaching staff should of picked up on this well before now. It consistently keeps happening. Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield Untited and now Brentford. The same will happen away at Boro on Saturday if this mentality continues. The games and months are slippping by.

  11. I don't think physically too much needs changing because the players have the ability but mentally there is a massive problem with fighting for the 3 points or if we are a goal or 2 down fighting to rescue a point. When we are behind they should be throwing the kitchen sink and  everything at the opposition. For a long time now I just haven't seen enough of that. If we seriously hope of promotion this season that needs to change now.

  12. I still think we are lucky to have Steve Bruce as our manager. What he needs to do though is to drill the mentality into those players to fight for it when we go a goal down. They should be thinking like a boxer that gets knocked down. Get up off the canvas, dust yourself off and fight back!!! As professional sports men this should be 2nd nature but it seems the message is not getting across.

  13. Is this a joke? Yes I know he's shipped a fair few but the man's been our MOTM in virtually every game this season. Don't forget he has made world-class saves in the last two games and also stopped a penalty.

What I mean is we are very much lacking experience at the back. Ok Brads 28, but he's not played a lot of first team football. We have a former International keeper sat on the bench, who has not dissapointed at any club he has played for throughout his career. I think he could at least steady the ship with our defence for the time being.

  14. I think so i.m.o.

He effectivley kept us in the league last year with numerous 0-0 draws i.e against Baggies, Sunderland Fulham etc.

I support Brad but 14 goals in 2 games! If Given was dropped for 3 against Everton then on paper a change in keeper now should not warrant thinking about.
