  1. Biggest England win of my lifetime and I spent the last fifteen minutes of it absolutely furious. It's not tactics, it's not tiredness, it's not injury, it's just favourites by a manager who hasn't got a clue. Thoroughbreds managed by a donkey. He's taken the joy out of the occasion in his desperation not to upset one of his mates or miss out on the opportunity to have three full backs on - and to do it, he's slaughtered the best player in the squad; my captain. Brilliant England - F*** you Gareth.

  2. What a player!! Less than £20 million ‘Emiliano Martínez has spent the entire penalty shoot-out telling the Colombians "you're afraid, aren't you?", "You're nervous" until he calls one of them a "shit" and then the referee comes and says "no Emi, not this"

  3. If you’re one of those fans backing Southgate for taking Grealish off… go for a walk. Find a bin. Or an ocean. Then leap in it.

  4. Amazing to think that our goalkeeper regularly plays in the same team as the world's greatest footballer. And also occasionally with Lionel Messi.

  6. There was no crowd so you could hear him abusing every Colombian player before each penalty! Learned from the best!

  7. Villa were in a final more recently than that. Villa are the only "we" in my book.

  8. Sorry... sorry but what the hell is going on here? You're just trolling right? You HAVE to be on the wind up?

  11. Honestly letting you hatred for a manager get in the way of enjoying our first final since 1966 is baffling. Chill out and enjoy it.

  17. I can see that Southgate will turn to Grealish if he needs him maybe because he's not fully fit or doesn't suit the system(??) etc but the problem there is Grealish doesn't do well as a sub. He grows into games. So I can see this huge weight of expectation for him to get us out of the shit with 20 mins to go and maybe getting 10 touches. Then it'll be Southgate vindicated because Grealish is obviously rubbish. It worked against Germany but he almost seems to be held to a higher standard. Won the Germany game for us with 7 touches creating 2 goals but still, Sancho did a dribble so is incredible. I just hope that when he's inevitably called upon to rescue us, he's able to instantly get into the game.

  20. For those that will be lucky enough to be at Villa Park for this coming season, please please PLEASE can you ensure that our players are in no doubt about how much we think about them. Especially Emi!

  21. I actually think he is though. There isn’t anyone I can think of that’s better. Think he’s made one mistake in like a year and a half of consistent football?? I’m 30 so probably shouldn’t have favourite players. Emi is my favourite player and I’d have an Emi poster and a shampoo bottle shaped like Emi and an Emi full kit and a lock of his hair under my pillow and… …ah sorry. Got carried away.

  23. Wes is a busy boy. Here are some other things he's been up to lately as well as buying Morrisons. He's bought a railway company that moves steel around the US for $640m. https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2021/06/08/2243587/35538/en/Fortress-Transportation-and-Infrastructure-Investors-LLC-Announces-the-Acquisition-of-Transtar-LLC-from-United-States-Steel-Corporation.html That'll probably come in handy for his passenger rail service plan to link Vegas and California, which he's put on hold until 2022. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-21/fortress-pitch-on-las-vegas-passenger-rail-to-wait-until-2022 Which should give him something to celebrate with the product of his very successful vintners operation, Majestic wine. https://www.retailtimes.co.uk/majestic-toasts-record-market-share-and-braces-for-biggest-ever-summer/ Perhaps he can celebrate in his new offices: https://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/news/2021/06/11/53b-global-investment-firm-confirms.html And hey, if he can't find it, he can use the product of the new GPS firm he's invested in. https://www.wsj.com/articles/next-generation-gps-firm-nextnav-nears-spac-deal-to-go-public-11623294232 He'll need that to get around the properties he's bought from Colony Capital https://www.spglobal.com/marketintelligence/en/news-insights/latest-news-headlines/blackstone-to-buy-qts-realty-in-10b-deal-colony-capital-signs-535m-asset-sale-64947272 He certainly doesn't appear be thinking about retirement. In fact he's sold his retirement properties for $1.6bn. https://seniorhousingnews.com/2021/06/21/atria-to-acquire-holiday-retirement-as-welltower-buys-86-properties-for-1-6b/ And indeed he'll be able to keep himself in shape having bought himself a physical therapy company for around $90m. https://seekingalpha.com/news/3706958-ati-physical-therapy-and-fortress-value-acquisition-stockholders-approves-merger And he'll need to keep himself in shape if he's going to continue taking on and beating heavy hitters like y'know Apple, in the US courts. https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/06/29/apple-withdraws-from-antitrust-lawsuit-against-fortress-investment-group Which is quite the achievement, since it seems he has quite a lot of gas. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210706005837/en/New-Fortress-Energy-Secures-LNG-Supply-Through-2027 Some of which he'll be passing in Ireland https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/new-fortress-energy-attempts-to-revive-780m-irish-lng-terminal-plan-with-data-centers/ Oh, and as an aside, he also seems to have financed the purchase of another football club (or something, I don't quite understand) anyway, there's Fortress money now in Girondins De Bordeaux https://news.in-24.com/news/82681.html Now I don't know how much of that he's personally involved with, although he's the figurehead making statements on a lot of those deals, but it paints a picture of a very busy man who has the ability to buy for a dollar and sell for two - and for as long as he's here, I suspect that's a talent that'll come in very handy indeed.

  24. First question would be - do you even want kids? Secondly, if you do, and you have only been together 6 months, and its complicated with a 'few splits' then is the relationship stable enough to have a kid?

  25. He won't see any minutes in the final. Always embarrassing when the sub gets subbed. England POV - We are into the final, ABSOLUTELY BUZZING! Villa POV - Im absolutely gutted for him.

  26. Wanting Italy to win the final is even more disresepctful l to Grealish than Southgate subbing him today. As much as I'm sure he was devastated to be subbed I'd imagine he'll be even more devastated if he's on the losing side in a cup final especially given the circumstances of it being England's first final in over fifty years. Same for Mings as well

  32. Mrs Lifeboats never wanted children. She was worried that they might inherit my brains or my looks. I didn't want children because the are allergic to me. If they come near me they come out in bruises. I love my god-daughter and my niece. I even enjoy spending time with them.** But I also love cheap holidays during term times, plenty of disposable income, ample free time and not having to share my Lego. **Subject to making a mutually convenient appointment and giving a suitable period of notice.

  35. Final update on that fundraiser for the young German girl. Just Giving link A positive result I think. I would like to believe that the pond life who were calling this young girl, among other things, a “nazi” and calling Joel Hughes, among other things, a “pedo” (sic) might pause for a moment’s reflection tonight between rounds of Carling. But I doubt it. A tip of the hat from me to Mr Hughes, the German girl, her family and Just Giving.
