  1. Disturbing rumour that Sanson has only 4 digits on his left foot. I think its ridiculous shelling out big money for a **** freak who hasn't got normal feet. Kind of vital, you know? Sorry. I'm lack toes intolerant.

  2. We've all seen enough football to KNOW that isn't how the rule is, or should be, interpreted. Yet in some cases, sadly, it suits an agenda to allow themselves to be fooled into believing otherwise. It's proper The Emperor's New Clothes stuff. Mings was absolute class last night, his best performance this season. Shame it has been tarnished.

  4. It's wierd that the same posters can simultaneously claim we overpaid for the like of Traore/Watkins/Wesley etc, whilst at the same time claiming we should stop being cheapskates and "get it done" The transfer window never ceases to amaze. It brings out the same numpties every year.

  5. If we had two Konsa's playing for us in defense instead of Konsa and Mings our defending may improve artificially but our all round team play would be worse. Mings progressive passing and ball carrying are integral to starting our attacking play. Because he has this role it means he may be caught on the ball or misplace a pass more often. Konsa doesn't have this same role, probably because his range of passing and ball carrying ability is more limited, hence Konsa will more often play a short pass or safe clearance. As a result he is rarely exposed but he also does not contribute to our a

They could build 10, 40 or 100 new hospitals... unfortunately there's not enough doctors and nurses to staff them.... ideally we'd advertise these roles to qualified people outside the UK ....... or make these roles more appetising to native residents by offering good pay and prospects.... Oh bugger....

  10. Totally. It’s akin to the brainwashed masses of a totalitarian society, where critical thinking has long since been wiped out. My mind is just failing to understand this total acceptance of a reinventing of the offside rule that has no precedent and would change the game of football if it is followed. It’s completely bonkers. I get that non-Villa fans won’t be as emotionally invested in this as I am, but why aren’t people thinking over what this rule interpratation really means for the game of football?

  13. I must say it really pleases me that several individuals, notably Stefan and, i think, Michelsen, are not letting this one go. I whole-heartedly agree that the situation is remarkable, farcical, and ultimately quite depressing. It's almost a surprise that the 'Game is Gone' thread has not risen from its slumber. Because something very obviously wrong is going on here. As Stefan has frequently referenced it's the response to the incident that is more troubling than the incident itself. Although needless to say I was watching the whole thing with zen-like calm because the goal obviously was

  15. Newcastle fans are quite funny, fair play to them making light of a bad situation. @Davkaus it's like the Twilight Zone. From a Newcastle fan: Absolute carbon copy to 2021. Unreal. You can stick 2018 and Villa in the middle there.

  19. Yeah he does make poor decisions from time to time, despite the instructions given, and these will cost us at times. But by the same token I think he is integral to the organisation of our back 5. His teammates trust him, they believe in him as a leader and I think this is undervalued by our supporters as a whole. I don't think he is as technically gifted as Konsa, but he makes up for it IMO. We are very lucky to have them at the heart of our defence for many years to come.

  20. Yes, looking at the whole offside rule. Offside offence A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by: interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or interfering with an opponent by: preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or challenging an opponent for the ball or clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impa

  21. I think this is the point though. That ISNT the rule. It's NOT. At no point has this been the rule. The rule they are using to justify it is being incorrectly used. Remember Ashley Young's first goal in the 3-2 win at Everton where jagielka plays it back and Ashley young is stood offside but receives the ball and scores. THAT. THATS WHAT THIS RULE IS FOR. They've used it incorrectly, and I feel like a bloody conspiracy theorist trying to explain it. No one has questioned the receive Vs challenge point in the rule. Which is the real question here. If rodri is deemed to have received

  22. Yep, I'm in that club. Just get the win. Hate seeing comments like "we are going to thrash them", "these are sh*t" ETC.. I know fans are entitled to do so I just fear of it coming back to bite us and making a section of our support look a bit silly. They are 5/1 the last time I looked and have conceded 3 or more on 4 occasions, so "on paper" we should win, but I'd take a 1-0 lucky deflected OG winner as we need to get climbing back up that table after 2 unlucky defeats in Manchester (Cheers REFS/VAR!)

  29. **** hell, I’ve been left alone in the house. Possibly the first time in months. Long story short, I’ve trodden a slab of corned beef in to the new living room rug. that rug is 6 weeks old. We don’t eat in the living room. We don’t eat without a plate whilst wandering around the house. These are rules that I have been enforcing ‘enthusiastically’. What are the chances of Ikea opening just for me as its essential?
