I think you should have a massive dirty shag where you introduce lots of new weird stuff to your love making. Then sit down and have a serious talk about how you can't see a future together. It's important to do this in the correct order.7 points

Let's get the deal done for the right money and set about the business of building a proper football team. I'm not interested in individual football players......I just want my villa team back.6 points

He played 7 games for Wolves when he was 20 seven years ago. Not really fair to judge him on that.3 points

It's a real treat when you start watching a new TV show, begin to really enjoy it and then realise there's 100+ episodes to get through! And of course.... ....is in it3 points

Your suggestion isn't better. It's totally idiotic and I'm assuming you must be trolling surely?! Why on earth would Tottenham pay £32 million meet the buyout clause then give us £12 million plus worth of players for FREE! Yep your idea sounds totally plausible lolz.2 points

One possibility is to make her think it's her idea: Option 1: You've always been a secret Jehovah's Witness/Neo-Nazi/Chelsea fan, and can remain silent no longer Option 2: You're dreading going back home because you have to live with and look after your criminally insane 34 year old brother that you've always been too embarrassed to mention Option 3: You want kids immediately, and you've only been keen on her because you've decided she's good breeding stock [although this option could turn bad].2 points

Why would Spurs offer 32m and two players when they can offer 32m and no players???2 points

I wouldn't give Joe Bennett another chance. I don't think he's had a good season at all with Brighton.2 points
-
Meh not enough of an upgrade, I'd rather have Bennett back. I saw enough of Bennett to know he's got enough technique, he just needs confidence and a decent centre half next to him and he'll be ok. I know that's not the popular opinion, but he was a young lad in a shit team in an unforgiving position with us, he deserves a second chance.2 points

Went on a night out, there was a couple there who were forest fans, I didn't really know anything about there season so didn't wanna get talking football, but someone dropped me in it saying I was a big villa fan. Thought they'd rip the hell out of me but instead they spent the next half hour raving about what an incredible player Gardner was. I said I wasn't sure if he could make the step up to the premier league and they just said that he was a cut above and should already be playing for us. They were saying how shocked they were that we hadn't recalled him. I have confidence he will kick on and I'm excited to see how he does next season. He's still quite young, I think that's easy to forget2 points

Optimistic. I can't wait to see what next season will bring. We'll smash some teams, and no doubt get smashed, but it'll make for an exciting time. We might even get relegated, but I genuinely couldn't give a toss. We exist in the Premier League to make up the numbers, and to make it more viable to sell as a product, and to help just a handful of very rich teams get even richer. We're an exhibition club and merely a filler. If it did come to pass that we ended up in the Championship, I'd shrug my shoulders and enjoy it. We'd be the massive club for a change and we'd have some hope of achieving something; for a change.2 points

You can't say he has had a fantastic first season in England, but he has shown glimpses of ability this season. I would give him another season to prove his worth. Petrov looked a bit dodgy in his first season as well it has to be remembered- the Premier League is a huge step up in physicality to almost any other league in the world. And centre mid is probably the hardest position to get up to speed too.1 point

Yeah chlsea game where barca for the favours is easy to remember but the game the year after where Chelsea won thanks to a foul on the keeper is easy to forget... Barca get all the decisions yet Vidal tried his hardest and couldn't get sent off tonight....this UEFAlona bollocks, refs are incompetent, we see it every week1 point

And she draws attention away from it with her terrible acting and poor attempts at comedy too.1 point

So you have said before on here, more than once. My view is, he kept us up when we were heading down and he fully deserves a fair go at managing this team1 point

I would like to see him given a chance. I can't think of any other manager that I would prefer, I will tell you why.....from the best manager in the world to the worst, they would have a hell,of a job and it can be described as a poisoned chalice.....under the conditions I see no one hand on heart, that I could guarantee would be able to do better. I would prefer to label it a heck of of a job.....I think it can be done with a bucket load of luck and a prudent approach. We have finished 17 th with the players we have and have not done much better, with different players from the past seasons. I think we need to go back to basics and build a team that can defend as a pre requisite and metamorph in to a team that can play......much the same as Stoke have done, but a better version of it. Until we can defend ourselves I see no progression at all....we can start by turning villa park into graveyard for opposing teams.1 point

I too think the last 3 games raise a lot of questions. I don' t know the answer, but I think the mental side, took its toll, the players were battered by too many reversals and the manager had to dig deep and put months of work in to a few weeks. What happens next season is anyone's guess....but I do share the view he will live and die by his signings. I wish him all the best, because what I do like about him as much as he can, he says it like it really is.1 point

Thank you Eden Hazard. He's making sure that Liverpool's £20m nonsense is looking less and less likely.1 point

An unproven and very injury prone player who has never lived up to his hype. I really hope you are right. Sounds just like Delph a few years ago.1 point

Elche will appeal though. As you can imagine I feel (as will another 25,000 Elche season ticket holders) cheated. I'm all in favour of attempts to get clubs to be self-sustaining and the Spanish League now has quite stringent control over club budgets. However, the league themselves have some culpability in that they allowed the situation to continue giving the new board which was brought in only five weeks ago little time to sort out the problem. The "very serious infraction" is actually 100% to do with non-payment of taxes. By now this has risen to 8m euros. Elche had to satisfy the league (via a supposedly independent judge) that they had dealt with this debt. Promissory notes were given, backed up with bank guarantees, to enure the entire debt is paid by 31 July. The Spanish treasury is happy with this arrangement - it appears the league is not as the judge's financial assistant does not consider that the promissory notes are "real" money. If they are not then every other club which currently has an arrangement with the tax office should also be demoted. Bearing in mind Elche's debt of 8m (soon to be zero), Atletico owe 100m, Deportivo 60m, Espanyol 40m, Rayo 34, Levante 20m, Getafe 14m, Celta de Vigo 8m.... etc. I would also ask why the massive tax fraud that took place as a result of the Neymar transfer is not equally a "serious infraction"? In this case, of course, action is being taken against the President, not the club, which somehow is separate. How surprising. The league are complicit as they suspended the entire Elche board - well-known as a gang of chancers- around Christmas but didn't follow through and allowed them to continue in control. Had they stuck by their initial action back then the current board would have resolved the tax issue prior to the deadline - the league's own inactivity is therefore more than partly responsible. Any league's responsibility is to ensure that as far as possible teams are rewarded for their success on the pitch. Elche have not cheated anyone in this regard, in fact they were subject to penalties before the season began and had the lowest budget in the league and the smallest squad (17 players). Eibar's conduct has been morally repugnant IMV. They were 2A champions last season but threatened with demotion unless they found 1.7m more in capital, due to a ludicrous old law that does not protect teams financially but remains a requirement for all clubs playing in the First and Second A Divisions. This would have been fundamentally unjust, however due to the goodwill of football fans worldwide (including some in Elche) people stumped up enough by last August to enable them to take their place in La Liga. They could not have raised the funds without help - which was given because fans recognise that rewards should arise from what happens ON THE FIELD. Now, having failed and been relegated, they have demanded the league expel Elche on this technicality. Their attitude is disgusting and I hope they continue to fail as badly as they did in the second half last season.1 point

He'll be brilliant there if he's used right. Remember Citeh allegedly offered him £165k a week to stay, so it's not like they thought he was a spent force. They also used him in their biggest games. No doubt the truth of his ability is somewhere between our almost God-like opinion of him and the faint praise he gets from people who compliment his workrate and effort (which implies he's short on ability). I do think he's probably closer to our estimation though, because we've seen what he can do when he's used right. It made him a regular in the England side, and it got him that move to Citeh where he far from disappeared amongst the foreigners.1 point

Also the people who are afraid that he is the runner type midfield that he is the legs of the team and that we won't be able to replace him, mention one other team in England that has two runners (box to box) midfielder playing at the same time. Delph is better than him in every aspect and we still finished 17th with two of the hardest workers in the league, we don't need two similar players playing at the same time and just because a player runs a lot does not make him a good player, this allows us to move on and find a new midfielder that contributes in more ways and lets most of the running to Delph. We are talking about a midfielder that scored 3 goals and got 0 assists in 37 games. that should not be difficult to replace.1 point

I don't think Jon is questioning the outcome of the election here (having read his posts elsewhere, I think I'm safe in saying that he's not a fan of FPTP, though) but rather questioning the reading of the result that PaulC has made, i.e. that 'people don't care' because the Tories were returned with a majority. Yep, you've pretty much negated my need to make a post Snowster! I think a great many people do 'care'. The Tories have 'got in' with a majority of seats at the H of C. They did that with 36.9% of the actual vote, which when extrapolated to include people who didn't vote, is way less than 30% of the people of this Country. Yet they have a 'mandate', however small, to have their wicked way with us. It should not be that way (for any party).1 point

Would a more illuminating system be a version of PR where the non voters are represented by empty seats. So, essentially, on the state opening of parliament with 'all' MP's present, you'd see a third of seats (34%) empty. Then, we'd also get a pretty simple indication of exactly how representative any party is, with their one third share of the two thirds of the occupied seats. It could even encourage people to set up parties to try and claim some of those empty seats, or might persuade somebody that with 34 empty seats not able to vote for or against something (and the winning party having gained 36 seats), their vote could actually have had an impact and helped fill a seat. All the above very simplistic using 100 to illustrate a point, but yeah, you know what mean. Chuck a thousand individual seats in the room, leave 340 permanently empty.1 point
