A few of the ones I've particularly liked have been Polly Harvey - Let England Shake Half Man Half Biscuit - 90 Bisodol (Crimond) Colin Stetson - New History Warfare Vol. 2: Judges The Antlers - Burst Apart Kate Bush - 50 Words for Snow King Creosote & Jon Hopkins - Diamond mine Tom Waits - Bad as me But it's not been a "classic" year, IMO. The Fall, Elbow, Fleet Foxes, Jesca Hoop, Barn Owl () and a few others have also released good stuff. Instrumental 3 piece with lots of clever use of looper pedals, math rock without the tedium and more of the rock? If you like 65daysofstatic, Minus the Bear or Don Caballero I'm guessing you'll dig it. This is why I never attempted to be a music journo.
