Back from the game, and well, i dont quite know what to say about that......

First things first..... last minute winners away from home in the cup are bloody epic, and I dont care who it was against, but moments like that are what football addicts out of us. Absolutely fan-bloody-tastic, the away end went mental.

More rationally, we look very at home at this level.

Defensively we are just a joke. Comical really. First half we played OK, we contained the expected rush early on, put our foot on the ball, played through it pretty comfortably, scored a couple of good goals and seemed to have it in the bag, easy street. It wasnt a particularly impressive performance, just comfortable

Second half, well, we got played off the park from 45-85 minutes. Totally outclassed. They scored two, could have easily been four or five. Just a total shambles of a football team, so, so fragile. Then, at 2-2, instead of crumbling away altogether, we suddenly stepped up about 20 gears, passed it quickly and incisively, nearly scored twice, then did score.

How important will that goal be? We will see. It felt like a big moment.

    • I've spent 2 years thinking Bellingham was on a lucky streak, he followed a similar path to Sancho, and a few others, and I'm not gonna lie, I didn't want to rate him. He's shown up, he's done it, and he's done it very well at the highest level. I'll sit on my hands with my opinions. Obviously he has great tekkers, very athletic, good football brain, but there's something more about him, that sets him apart, I don't know what it is, but we've had a lot of very talented 'soft lads' and 'party boys', and still do, in the squad. He hasn't ever come across like that. I always get the impression he has a very 'old school' attitude to the game.
    • Can you share who that was? Maybe best for PM!
    • Anyone know if it's possible to sort photos, or delete photos, based on them being duplicate on an Android device? For example - I have and album, lots of photos, some I know are duplicates, exactly the same photo, but different file names. Is there a way to identify and delete the dupes? Thank you legends x
    • Horrible, horrible disease. Dreadful for the family as well seeing someone slowly disappear.
    • Mixed feelings on this. Fully appreciate you posted this in good faith and with the best of intentions and I respect the sentiment, but he is still alive. Deteriorating of course and I wouldn't want to underplay what he and his family will be going through, it's a very hard transition to make and I wouldn't want to speculate one way or the other over how much life he or anyone else will have left on this spinning orb - but he's not dead. I think a minute of anything before kick-off would be a bit premature and maybe a bit rough for his family and friends, not to mention Sid if he happens to tune in to any coverage of the game. Clear from what Collymore wrote that although he's getting worse, there's still an awareness there. I would say a gesture like this is best kept for a future date when it will be a lot more meaningful and even more sad tbh. Again, without speculating at all.
    • Yeah, I liked that. It feels like a bit of a slower start this year than last year. 2023 I’d committed to buying something every month and by end of March I was on two a month and missing a good few.  My fave for this year is still Motherland by Angharad at the moment, but a long way to go.
    • We’ve sent some young lads out there to gain experience, youngest group of players , mainly u16s some 15s and a few 17s
    • Pfft. We embraced him long before you. He was 'The Face of 68', three huge hits as frontman of The Herd. Hence Humble Pie having 'supergroup' billing when he teamed up with Steve Marriott. By the time the US caught up, he was old news over here - although 'Show Me The Way' was a top ten single in the UK (and 'Comes Alive' likewise as an album). Personally, I was a fan of his earlier stuff, but I found the material that sold so well in the US to be bland and uninspired. Good guitarist, though, and by all accounts a very nice bloke.
    • Leicester have sacked Willie Kirk, whether that will help us I don't know, of course he hasn't been managing them the last few games anyway whilst suspended We've won just one home game all season, if we don't win Saturday it will be the fourth season in a row we will have won just once at Bescot in the league Hopefully we can do as well as possible between now and the end of the season, but feels like we're wating for the summer now, hopefully plans already underway behind the scenes
