First off, let me say that just because this blog is called 'The Optimist' it doesn't automatically follow that I will fly in the face of criticising things that need to be criticised. Believe me, if I want to moan I will moan. But if I don't then I won't. I called it 'The Optimist' because in my years on VillaTalk I have come around to the realisation that on average I do tend to see the positive side of things more than most. So it seemed an apt name.

Seems I've joined the Terrace View club.
Didn't buy my season ticket by 5.00 and by 9.00 there were no tickets anywhere😡😡
After a convoluted buying process I've managed to get a couple of TV tickets. Very expensive mistake.
Still, I suppose I can buy a few prawn sandwiches.
Anyone who boos me I'm going to waive my lower Holte season ticket in their face.
Last time I went to Old Trafford in the rain I got that wet (ooer) from their shitty roof. I'm not sure it was even raining, I think it was local, Ten Hag panic desperation in the atmosphere. Or Bruno crying, because he looks like a chipmunk without a barber or a dentist.
Worst 'bottom 3' in history were in 2018-19 amassing 76 points, 2020-21 with 77 and 2005-06 and 2009-10 amassing 79 points (small heath being one of them).
Through time most of the three relegated clubs gathered between 90-100 points combined. In the last few years it's rarely above 85, usually low 80's.
The current bottom 3 have 64 points, so need to scrape together 13 between them over 12 games to avoid being the worst ever.
