    • Can only be on oan as they won't be paying us his £8.5m book value in a transfer fee and then his wages.
    • Scandalous because we've maintained top 4 form for well nearly 2 full seasons, and it would only be down to unfortunate sequencing that means we don't finish top 4 in either of those seasons. I'm not saying it would be a failure, just scandalously shit luck.
    • We didn't pay 15m though, we paid 8m with add ons up to 15m. I would guess we will end up paying most of those add ons though tbf.
    • £15m wasn't actually that cheap for Rogers but it would have been more if we had have waited until the summer, for contrary to some comments he was actually doing very well for MIddlesbrough and his price would have shot up come the summer and there would be more competition for his signature by then, we just got in there early because we recognized he was suddenly living up to his earlier potential and he fitted the criteria of what Emery was looking for as himself recently stated, that is a player with similar attributes to Ramsey If we waited until summer and Rogers had have carried on the way he was, would probably be talking £20m plus and a big chunk of that wouldn't be add ons as it reportedly is with the deal we've got Middlesbrough did well out of it, they paid £1m for him in the summer, then months later they get £15m, for them was probably too good of an offer to do turn down, and,  they needed the money They also got Azaz for what some deemed  a very good price, and we had previously helped them with Ramsey and Archer, and I wouldn't be surprised to see similar happen in the future
    • Some of the comments on here are just corporate bashing - not liking what Heck stands for. But successful companies need people in that role - business can be hard. He might be a **** but he's our ****, and we need him to add £10m's to the bottom line or we're reliant on Chelsea and Man U getting it wrong every season just to compete. I think we all love our owners. They've chosen him to do this role.
    • I can see now why it only works with those clubs below the elite. We were terrible. Emery started in depth video analysis.  Then we were brilliant. That gives buy in to the level of detail . And when new players come in they see how the current players are listening and buy in as well. These players of ours are on the whole playing the best football of their whole careers. They would never get bored of that. Imagine him going in at Bayern. Or Manure. Too many egos and relationships between the media and the players. More leaks than one of my plumbing jobs.
    • An extremely knowledgeable man, I’ve seen him on Bloomberg a few times and you can see how he came to run money and build up fortress, a very analytical and strategic mind. As mentioned upthread, his long term approach/patient capital will Reap rewards in multiple industries, notably Aston Villa!
    • I am still clinging to the hope / belief that a certain regular poster on this site who has reclused himself from certain discussions is in some capacity connected with matters around next season's shirts.  This has made it very easy for me to ignore all the ****, fake links that are getting posted, confident in the belief that we're going to have an absolute belter of a kit choice this season.
    • The away kit could easily be a placeholder.
