    • Football is the most played sport by junior boys in Australia and the girls are closing the gap on netball every year.
    • Gotta say I'm not sure what's the point of investing in the Australian side. Small population, talent spread our among ridiculous amount of competitive sports over there, AFL is king, rugby, cricket, swimming etc. There hasn't been much Australian talent of note lately (hopefully we got the best one lol). Not sure there's much profits to be made on Aussie soccer either but could be well wrong.  The MLS franchise seemed to have made more sense in all aspects.
    • To a degree it delayed the restart, as Ollie didn't have a ball to take the penalty, then got further delayed when funnily enough the ball turned up from the crowd just as he was about to start his run up.
    • Doesn't a card have to be physically shown to a player and their name written down? This goblin of a ref did neither. He took the card out, then Luiz came over before he could flash it, then he told him to **** off and then put the card away again. How exactly is that booking someone? I honestly think these **** modern referees are touched in the head. They act like shell-shocked war vets sometimes, they lose the rag under seemingly innocuous circumstances half of the time and expose themselves as clearly not understanding the rules of the game the other half. **** nuts.
    • Premature. Chelsea, Newcastle and Man Utd can still catch us if they win every game - we could still be in the conference league again
    • Scrap the league cup, and put the Conference League place to the League position. Have the FA Cup 3rd Round in October or early November to enable the competition to be spread evenly over the season. Will stop the congestion caused by League Cup semis and the final as well.
    • Have a feeling he will score a couple more goals before the season ends. His form has gone to shite and he looks ineffective and weak but we've all seen how he started the season, I think he may end the season in the same manner.
    • Top post. We quickly get used to things previously unimaginable. However, as things have panned out, it would be quietly devastating in the same way Leicester couldn't ever quite get over the line despite massively positive seasons overall, to qualify for the Champions League under Rodgers. Right now, it would be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Such a blow could reverberate for years. My personal feeling is that we qualify, and a new era is being heroically written in front of our astonished eyes.
    • Yes and Diaby is a better player.
    • I talked to a mate from Australia the other day about the Canberra expansion, there have been unknown delays in the bid but he thinks it's progressing. Apparently this is the sixth attempt to get a Canberra men's team off the ground, which bodes well. There were concerns that Canberra United, the only professional team in the area (in their women's league) would be a victim of the delay and go bust, as the state-owned company that runs it doesn't want to fund them anymore. It appears they've found a short-term solution for now. He assumed the consortium that would come in (presumably involving V Sports as a minority partner) would take them over. Does sound like a bit of a mess, hopefully it'll get sorted.
