   The off season! I love it. After what has been one of the worst seasons I have ever experienced in 23 years as a Villa fan, we can now start speculating about who we will buy, who will stay, who we will play and who will be our manager. It’s great! We can forget the season just gone, draw a line under it as the players like to say, and think about the season to come. But I think we can draw a lot of positives from this season too. 11. Well that's that then. Relegation here we come.

    In my mind we're as good as down now. Of all the teams at risk of relegation, we seem to be the only ones who don't realise it yet. Or we're certainly playing that way. 12. We have never had it so bad at Villa Park!

    Our grim defeat last night has secured an unwanted club record. We have had 4 home wins to date this season and even if we were to make it 5 by beating Spurs in our last home game it would still be the lowest number of home wins in any season in the history of our football club. We have a proud history and we were promised a bright future which did not include making history of this sort!
