So, Ted Heath...

Not sure it needs a link having been wall to wall on TV and media for days, but....Wow. Investigations into allegations against him are now being pursued by five different police forces dating back as far as 1961.

There is a truly shocking audio interview on LBC with a respected Newsweek journalist from the US. In summary she arrived at Heathrow in 2011 with a valid visa to come and investigate the rumours that Heath had boys from a home in Jersey taken out to his yacht never to return - subsequently being recorded by the home as run aways.

She was held incommunicado for 12 hours before being deported and banned from the UK for 500 days. Why? Suspicion she intended to overstay her visa...

In addition a former very senior police officer from Wiltshire Constabulary has triggered a further investigation by the IPCC over the apparent quashing of an investigation in Wiltshire in 1995.

You don't need to be the type who sleeps in a tinfoil turban to be mildly suspicious of a cross institutional cover up and some unspeakably foul behaviour.

Peterms was hinting at the Jersey allegations years ago, seems there might be some foundation in it after all.

Grim as grim can be.

Edit: Wiltshire not Wiltshere!

Unfortunately I think they are quite sneaky by definition and super clever or they would not be able to get the top jobs.  And that is where the problem is I think,  from the cabinet itself to the upper levels of the Lords to the top level Police chiefs,  basically anything that can be entered by using the old boys network you will find a few of these vile little creatures.  As we squeeze in one place someone somewhere is shredding paper or pretending to be ill so they can't go on trial. It's all very sad and predictable.

A friend had a rant about this on FB a while back.

He's not a tinfoil type, but he's prone to being 'controversial' when he's drinking alone.

It was pretty vile reading. It was quickly taken down.

Not seen him since to find out who it was that removed it.

he was also hinting at Dunblane being a cover up for a certain one eyed PM being a paedo so I'm not quite ready to give him Kudos yet

I think he may have been Nicola Sturgeon so probably now a bit busy... Come on "Peter", the VT socialist collective needs you!!

On topic... There have also been lots of rumours about a still serving senior Labour MP currently under investigation for noncing by Manchester Police....

On a completely unrelated note I always thought Gerald Kaufman was an interesting Member of Parliament.

It would be good if they would go after an MP or person of influence who is still alive, so that is possibly a good starting point. It's interesting that these revelations are happening in dribs and drabs. It's like they're just feeding us it to us bit by bit so that we're not overcome with disgust at what our overlords have been doing for 50 years ...

I was aware of that rumour at least twenty years ago.

It speaks volumes that they've had to bring in a High Court Judge from New Zealand to chair the inquiry, sadly it will take up to five years to report.

I just hope this long overdue investigation into historical abuse doesn't detract from the industrial scale child rape perpetrated by gangs (and still ongoing) in towns up and down the country.

Just take Rotherham as an example,1400 girls raped there, many repeatedly. What did Denis McShane MP have to say? "As a true Guardian reader and liberal leftie I didn't want to push that too hard.... I didn't want to rock the multicultural community boat.."

I have no words to describe that attitude, 1400 lives wrecked by a terror of not appearing PC enough. The council, social services and police all guilty and all taking their lead from their MP.

It's not just those scummers in Whitehall, the entire system has cancer. How do you cut that out without killing the patient?

Was that interview given in Belmarsh or Brixton? :)

Just before the tea leaf got jailed as I recall.

Bishop abuses 16 boys, gets a caution, a coverup from the Crown Prosecution Service and the C of E, and then his mate Prince Charles lends him a house after he resigns:

'Details of how Peter Ball, a former bishop of Lewes and Gloucester, escaped justice 22 years ago can finally be revealed after he pleaded guilty on Tuesday to two counts of indecent assault and one charge of misconduct in public office, relating to the sexual abuse of 16 young men over a period of 15 years from 1977 to 1992.

Ball was not charged when the allegations of abuse against him first emerged in 1993. Instead the police and senior figures in the Crown Prosecution Service(CPS), then led by the late Barbara Mills, agreed to issue Ball with a caution.

This was done with the knowledge of the then archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey. Ball proceeded to resign as bishop and went to live in a property lent to him by his friend the Prince of Wales.'

Seems that Leon Brittan's family will be getting an apology from Tom Watson some time soon ?

Also quite bad that Scotland Yard apparently knew he was innocent before he died but never told him

Not fully up to speed on this story but hasn't Watson already apologised previously for some of the things he said but not apologised for reporting the allegations to the Police? If so I don't think he has anything else to apologise for, people have a duty to report such serious allegations regardless of if they end up being false had more people taking this approach in the past more people would have been brought to justice a lot earlier.

I think he apologised for going over the top with his pure evil speech but hasn't actually apologised for making the allegations public in the first place ...

Not just in this instance but I find it quite bad that you can be named and shamed for certain crimes and then found innocent of the allegations in due course ... But the damage has already been done
