Keepers coming for crosses is old school, very few keepers do it these days, in some respects it is best to have the bloke who can use his hands as your last line of defence, not the first line of defence. Sometimes its best not to chuck your best weapon into the battle at the start

Yep, looked good on the highlights.

Just a bit worried he's unsure when to come off his line, think he'll struggle at Stoke but be relatively o.k in the other games.

That's where he struggled a couple of seasons ago, in all those cup games against Blackburn where Big Sam would have his players bully him on crosses. He also hasn't played much since he left Hull last season so it could take him a couple of games to get to top form.

Thought Bolton dominated us in the air tonight which is a worry keeping Stoke in mind. Anyway, Brad did well, and its great to see him finally get a chance to have a decent run of games, although not under ideal circumstances (Given's injury)

To be honest I think some of the posts above must be from people who have never seen him play.

Today showed us nothing that we didnt know already.

He's a very good shot stopper, but does not command his box and is dodgy on crosses.

Luckily today, and surprisingly given the personnel they have - they didnt put many crosses in.

he has always looked good in a 'one off' - last time the problems started when he was playing week in \ week out - he couldnt seem to put his mistakes behind him.

hopefully he has matured - thought he did well enough yesterday
