Poor Schteve :(

You have to question just how long he will be given to turn this around, although you also have to wonder if a different manager could do any more, given the fact carver and pardew had equally dire results.

like villa, you get the feeling behind the scenes something is inherently wrong

Eh what? He has spent about 7 billion pounds. He has had free reign to bring in pretty much anyone.

1. He was lucky to be given such a job.

2. He was incredibly privileged to be given the budget he has.

I like Steve. He was a great coach but a manager he is not. If it all goes tits up you can't say he wasn't given every chance to achieve success. Ultimately he only has himself to blame.

spent all his money on attackers, which to be fair so did the previous 3/4 newcastle managers! they've been shit at the back for years, not had a proper decent keeper since krul's breakthrough year (which looks like a complete fluke) steven taylor has been wank for about 8 years, coloccini has been old for about 3 years and yet they are still their best CB partnership

The longer they keep McLaren the better it will be for Villa and anybody else hoping to avoid relegation.

Elliot, Janmaat, Sissokho, Colocinni, Shelvey, Townsend, Krul, Tiote, Perez, Goufran has the makings of an excellent team.

Shelvey and Townsend only just arrived but by the end of the season they should be nowhere near relegation.

Leicester 1 nil....it goes on and on and on...personally to me if they win today they win the league.

Only listening to this but sounds like Arsenal are a bit clueless as to how to break Leicester down...I'm amazed they didn't start Walcott for this as he was a major factor in the 5-2 earlier this season.

Oh and these are the sort of situations where 42m Ozil needs to step up and make an assist, not when they're 4 up v us or Sunderland.
