Now we have to beat Liverpool at home, something we have done once in almost 20 years, just to be in the same bloody position. Relative to Sunderland yes. Relative to the number of points we have, and potentially the team in 17th, not so. Still, it's a psychological blow.
Nabby
Both Khazri and Kone have played well and would have improved us ...the board not bothering with the former just utter idiots

If the Mags win at Chelsea then that would be a disasterous weekend before we have even kicked a ball.
PieFacE Posted February 13, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted February 13, 2016 Well, whilst that win for Sunderland doesn't make a huge difference to us cos we still need to get the same amount of wins, in my opinion there is absolutely no hope of staying up now. dudevillaisnice
Put simply new signings have given them (the players and fans) a lift aswell as Big Sam, even their owner seemed to turn up for a game, contrast that to us and well... bojong
Even if the gap to safety remains the same, it's a blow. We have to catch three teams. Catching Sunderland just became 3 points more difficult.
Daniel
Sunderland do this shit every year. They will probably survive again this season too.

I think he has done very well with the hand he has been dealt. It's the muppets above him that have ruined our club.

Careful you will upset the Remi Garde love in That's got nothing to do with Garde. It's Lerner not backing the team financially.

useless
Every team isn't going to conveniently lose every match to help us and we aren't going win every game, there will be plenty of ups and downs before the seasons over and done with. Sunderland have caused a bit of an upset today, but will probably lose games where they expect to do better as well. Hopefully we can cause a few upsets of our own, starting tomorrow. supernova26
Makes no difference to us, we are still the same points away from safety. It's odd how many people actually think it's just the bottom team that goes down.

This made it 3 points more difficult.
abdulaziz1
It was better had they lost. But if we win tomorrow and things went our way today it could still be a good week. For now, Two results are going our way although not directly. Bournmouth and Palace losing. WBA are winning which isn't good but hopefully Everton could turn in around as they're doing good. More importantly, Norwich, Newcastle and Swansea hopefully lose.

It's odd how you think it makes no difference to us that a team whom we need to finish above has just won.
