As much as Vardy is doing well he will be 29 so it's not a long term signing. Also his style of play....can people really see him ripping up the champions league or european championships. Defenders at that level will cope with him I'm sure.

Surely with all the money premier league clubs get one of them can sign Antonie Greizmann or Pierre Aubameyang....those to me are two players who would be brilliant in the premier league and the level English clubs need to be signing if any of them want to win the CL again not Jamie Vardy.

Spurs are screaming for a striker maybe Liverpool he could fit their style of play, think Vardy and Leicester will snap any bid they get as he will never be this hot again and he will never get offered a bigger club again

Mahrez is definite destined for a top team

I don't see it. Right now, he's in the magical place of a] high confidence and an unreal run of form where nothing can go wrong, and b] a system that's set up specifically to help him, a system which is shared by none of the Sky 6 (and could never be shared with them, since they can't simply adopt counter-attack as a system). Maybe he gives up a competitive career to be Harry Kane's last-5-minute relief, but if he does, he kisses his nascent England career goodbye and any chance of regularly troubling the scorers in the future.

If any Premier League side is going to sign him its Man U. Real Madrid could suit him as well. I know people put him down because of his age and where he has come from but he really is very good. Pace to burn, great work ethic, makes great runs and can finish. He's a young 28 who is hungry unlike say Rooney or Gabby who have been around too long.

Hypothetically I mean if Spurs offer 25 million for a 29 year old Leicester will bite and if Spurs offer him 70k a week I imagine he will also be tempted. Footballers career is short and as said he wont get a transfer this big again.

Might be a bad move footballing wise but he has financially think as well, though a move to Spurs would probably cement his Euro 2016 spot

It will come down to Leicester ambition, if they are still near the top 4 I can imagine close rivals banging down the door to raid them and if Leicester just say yes then it probably shows lack of ambition from them

leicester will fall short just like southampton did. i still think ranieri is reaping the rewards of pearson. be interesting to see what happens when leicester hit poor form. god i would take pearson in a heart beat (despite how much i cant stand him) if he could turn us around like that

A Daily Telegraph sports reporter has responded on Facebook after he was subjected to online abuse after calling Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy a racist.

The in-form Foxes striker broke Ruud van Nistelrooy's Premier League record at the weekend when he found the back of th net for the 11th consecutive match in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

The 28-year-old, who was playing non-league football for Fleetwood Town just three years ago, has received widespread praise for his goal scoring exploits this season and has been linked with both Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Earlier this year the England international apologised for his "appalling" behaviour at a casino with some of his team-mates which captured on camera.

Vardy could be heard loudly repeating the word “Jap” three times during a heated bust-up after he felt a middle-aged man behind him was looking at his cards.

“I wholeheartedly apologise for any offence I’ve caused," he said afterwards. "It was a regrettable error in judgement I take full responsibility for and I accept my behaviour was not up to what’s expected of me.”

After breaking the record on Saturday evening, Telegraph writes Jonathan Liew tweeted: "Well done Jamie Vardy, you massive racist."

Liew was heavily criticised and abused by some for the tweet and yesterday posted a message on his Facebook page to discuss the matter further.

"So I’ve been getting a bit of “heat” overnight – mostly from Leicester fans, but not entirely – for pointing out that Jamie Vardy is a racist," he begins.

"Vardy, in case you’re not aware, was caught on camera abusing a man of east Asian origin in a casino in August. The responses seem to fall into four main categories. Let’s deal with them one at a time."

He deals with the arguments put forward in defence of Vardy and concludes by suggesting that Vardy should be doing far more to tackle the issue if he truly is sorry for his actions.

"My view is this: racists should be pariahs. They should be punished with the full fist of the law and beaten down by the crushing yoke of public opinion.

"They should be out of a job. They should be out of friends. They should have to get on their knees and beg us all for forgiveness.

"Vardy should be out of work right now. But seeing as he's not, he can use his platform. He should be speaking out against racism at every opportunity.

"I completely understand if you don’t share this view. But there’s a victim here, and it’s not me and it’s not you. And it’s certainly not the England footballer with an 11-game scoring streak and the admiration of millions."

Regardless of that fact, its OTT. Still, the journalist has got his name out there so its worked for him

What he's saying is that he should lose his job, lose his friends and constantly beg for forgiveness because he made a few racist comments when drunk? What Vardy did was wrong, of course it was, but no way deserves that punishment.

He has a column at the Telegraph more than once a week, I don't think he needs to troll for recognition.

Exactly, and he makes a good point.

He shouldn't have been able to just apologise and then have it swept under the rug. He should be doing more to say 'racism is bad'. He's the hottest player in the league at the moment. He could be using that publicity.
