  1. I'm just hoping my hangover has gone by the start of the season. Literally been hanging like a bat since I got up yesterday morning.
  2. Just got back to London. Dropped my missus and our 9 week old baby to her Mum’s in Sutton earlier today. Normally I’d order a curry and have a few beers but I’m going to try and go to sleep. I don’t know why but everything about this feels different to last year. I’m a mess with nerves. And on that note I’m going to bed to stare at the ceiling until the sun comes up. Thank God I only live 4 stops from Wembley.
  3. Waiting for Leeds fans to blame Jack Grealish.....
  4. I’m sat in a pub in Monument waiting to meet Dutch clients for dinner. They don’t like or understand football so will just think I’m rude checking my phone every 15 seconds. C’est la vie. We’ve done amazing to get to where we are but the hangover of the last few seasons hasn’t gone away for me yet so as much as I know we can smash them, I’m nervous. i am terrified. I just want to go to the toilet if I’m honest.
  5. Wouldn't it be nice for Jack to lead us out at Wembley and play out of his skin to absolutely hammer the Albion? Then come out to the start of the new Premier League season as Villa captain playing alongside McGinn, Mings and Tammy.... I can almost smell it.
  6. If it's three at the back, I like it. If not.... Macdonald out.
  7. This is it for me. I’ve been more patient than most but enough is enough. Time for a change.
  8. Yep. This is the antidote to your Pina colada post. You're all a bunch of mentalists.
  9. well we've not started losing games yet mate so maybe keep the faith?
  10. of course you're right mate. Because the managers before him had whipped up a storm of happiness around the place.
  11. I think you'll find it was the media who concentrated on Grealish first and rightly so, it was common knowledge we had a £40m hole and who was the one player that would solve it? So answering questions about Grealish is a million miles away from touting him for sale. Spurs never came close to offering Villa that (£3m and Josh Onomah?) I've never once said what Bruce says is gospel, but I don't twist anyones words to suit my agenda either. How do you turn a dressing room around without man management? how are they two separate areas? A happy dressing room is a group of individuals that all need to be happy to unite. I still struggle to see how calling out a bad TEAM performance (did he call any individual out?) is bad man management. If you can honestly say that if you'd been in his shoes after Tuesdays performance you'd have said any different - and lets remember he states that it was on his shoulders - then I'm sorry, I don't believe you. They were woeful and for all of us (me included) who were questioning why some of those players weren't getting picked, it was a wake up call. Pint of what you're having please mate, you're world seems much more magical. ;)
  12. maybe everyone on here should do the same.
