He also mentions that no one wants to take the blame for it, which suggests an awful lot of players think 'I'm doing really well and if I was in a better team I d be killing it these numpties are dragging me down'. I reckon that probably applies to a good chunk of our team, and sadly the newer players like veretout and gana. Gana s first interview he was talking about using villa to get a move to a big club and veretout says he s been happy with his performances so far. Then there s Grealish with his hands in the air all the time. That's 3 of the starting 11 right off the bat
It's weird, isn't it.
I even find myself thinking "we play other teams into form" but if we don't lose to a team that is not playing to their full potential it's "we should have won, not drawn" or "we got lucky to play them at this time". The truth is that Remi and the players are NOT responsible for the form of the other team - they are responsible for how they performed.
When we got a good draw against Man City that was because we played well! Their "form" would have made no difference if we put in another performance like we had in the previous games this season.
Does this make Redknapp wrong?
There's no defence for Grealish here. He needs to sort himself out.
Going out as a 20 year old isn't a big deal. Having a couple of drinks after a game isn't a big deal. Having a couple of drinks after a game being a 20 year old supposed athlete IS a big deal. **** rocket science it is not.
