Former Villa player condems Villa to second consecutve defeat... Vassell was on the mark twice for Manchester City and despite a second half revival led by Liam Ridgewell's second half goal.
Vassell took just 4 minutes to get his first. The ball was hit up field and Taylor rushed out of his box to clear, however, Jlloyd Samuel had other ideas, heading the ball over the stand in keeper and straight to Vassell who couldn't have dreamt of an easier goal. His second was a well placed volley from 12 yards. The second half saw Berger's cross find the chest of Ridgewell virtually on the goal-line.
Some notes from this game:
- Sorensen and Angel both pulled out through injury
- Berger also picked up an injury
- Samuel put in possibly the worst performance for a Villa player ever.
- Taylor has had a haircut
