  1. I love Adidas kits. But there is something west hammy about them, and Fulhamy about this one. Maybe it's just looking for similarities. But this kit is really good work!
  2. How is a hotel different than getting a pint in terms of "additional revenue"? There is no clear lines between being able to watch NFL at VP or going to Villa Live to watch it on a big TV and spend money there. If it's club selling stuff, it adds to the bottom line.
  3. In the Watkins vs Toney for England debate, I am surprised no one mentions it's an international shirt. You know, representing a nation. I am surprised no one pick up on the fact Toney is a gambling cheat.
  4. One thing that works well abroad but is not well utilised in England is the police leading the traffic out of stadiums and supporting the smooth flow of cars. That would speed everything up massively. But again, I have never had too many issues myself. It's relatively easy. I never waited more than 20 mins in a car, I once spent 90 mins getting out of Etihad.
  5. Am I the only one that thinks transport out of VP is relatively easy compared to other mass venues?
  6. It's simple really, Adidas picked up Villa so now have a bigger account to worry about
  7. I was walking underneath Trinity before the Ajax game and I specifically looked at how it ended above the street. With my next to no knowledge of construction, the Trinity stand ends pretty much on the far end of the street. Would we really have to buy houses behind Witton to expand it? There is a green strip of land behind the street at Witton, it seems there is room to have a similar bridge over the street as we do at Trinity end?
  8. We are not giving up history by moving stadiums. We are making new history. The history will stay the same - it's about an ambitious and bright future, regardless of if it's at VP or somewhere else.
  9. Because it costs 750mil-1bn to build. It is the only reason.
  10. Isn't that included in the costs? Either way, we'd also have to include the value of the club increasing dramatically - if Villa is worth, say, 700m now, with the new stadium that might very well double.
  11. Spurs is probably not a good comparison. Everton is a better one, theirs is around 500mil. 750 would be a safe estimate, that would mean a return in 10/15 years. Or much quicker considering the ever increasing revenue/sponsorships.
  12. NEC is next to the airport, multi-platform train station, motorways. They have massive parking spaces and it's possible to expand those, including exits. It is probably the easiest venue to get to in Birmingham, certainly easier than Aston. It makes perfect logistical sense. But I appreciate it might not be the best location considering it's a bit far from Aston/Witton. But then again, Aston is not exactly a football mecca. I would wager it would be much easier for most fans to get to NEC than Aston. So we'd have to address a question of whether Aston is our home, or are we going to be a global club that will be able to attract fans from London that can get to NEC in just over an hour.
  13. It's not even comparable to Wimbledon moving to MK. NEC is in the same city - it's 15 mins down the M6. I am not advocating for it. but considering the NEC infrastructure already in place, it is a feasible option. Especially if resorts world arena is taken over by the exhibition space, and we strike a deal with them to build a venue that is capable of hosting 20k attendance concerts on weekly basis AND 60k football matches. Now THAT would be a cash cow that would challenge or overtake the spurs stadium.
  14. They could call him "Kung Fu" Pau
  15. Every generation has different challenges. Back in the 80s tickets for Villa were a few £ and kids could afford it easily. Try spending £60 every other week as a teen now. Unless you are in a war/starvation situation (or need specialist medical help) no generation has it easier/worse than the next.
