0 Tegis Posted August 19, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted August 19, 2013 Just put in the youtube link in the message, make sure it's http and not https Link to comment
0 limpid Posted August 19, 2013 Administrator Share Posted August 19, 2013 You don't need to "embed", just post the http link straight into the post. Link to comment
0 Stevo985 Posted August 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) Just a side note, it doesn't always work just pasting the link in. Don't know if maybe it's a chrome thing, probably is as I use that at work and at home. But anyway, the media tags around the link will embed it in that case [ media] paste the url here [ /media] without the spaces Edited August 20, 2013 by Stevo985 3 Link to comment

0 limpid Posted August 29, 2014 Administrator Share Posted August 29, 2014 You don't need to do anything to embed youtube, just paste the url from the "share" link on youtube. If the URL starts with https, change it to http. That's it. Link to comment

0 Stevo985 Posted November 19, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) http://youtu.be/tRBDMMVctu8 Apparently the site should automatically embed these for you. I struggle as well, I think it's something to do with the http in the link? Anyway, if you surround your link with [ media]insert link here[ /media] (but without the spaces) it should work regardless http://youtu.be/tRBDMMVctu8 Quote this post to see the example above Edited November 19, 2014 by Stevo985 Link to comment
0 limpid Posted November 19, 2014 Administrator Share Posted November 19, 2014 I suspect that sometimes the browser is encoding these for you. Chrome defaults to quoting HTML, you could try pasting with ctrl-shift-v instead of ctrl-v. Hopefully that'll not include the "link" mark up. Link to comment
