Hello from Mid Wales

Recommended Posts

Just a brief intro ... been lurking for some months and decided to join for real.

First game I saw was in 1955 aged 9 when Bolton beat us 2-0, and it's been a fair old roller coaster since then. The Cup, The Shareholders Association and the Bendalls, Divs 2 and 3, revival under The Doc, Rotterdam, Deadly Doug, Randy Lerner and the MON years, then yet another Houdini act under but under Tim this time. My wife was a Villain even younger than me; she and her sister were some of the small children passed over the crowds head on the Witton Lane End. We've been (original) shareholders and had season tickets, but it's too much travelling and expense now. Still the first thing I look for in Mondays paper is the match report.

My cousin Carole a West Brom supporter (ever since she was an ovum) reckons that supporting Villa and the Baggies teaches a valuable lesson in life ..... you learn how to handle disappointment with dignity! Lets hope we're done with that for a few years.
