Trestman and Gruden in the same boat. Benching your starting QB makes it look like it's mainly their fault you've had a God awful season whilst masking the head coach's deficiencies.

Yup it was a pretty fun game to watch . You would think that people would  realise by now that  2 bad teams doesn't mean it will be a bad game .

In fact it is usually when you have 2 heavyweights playing that it leads to a dull game.

Id be interested to see the amount of players whose contract is structured with a large percentage of performance related clauses.  I would be surprised if a considerable amount of players didn't have a significant portion of their contract related to playing time and performance.

Just finished watching the game. If I was the Titans GM I wouldn't waste a pick on offense and just draft 7 on defense. The O-line should be relatively solid when all fit, Whitehurst/Mettenberger will do a job when fit, I really like the look of Sankey and they've got decent catching options that could easily get them to .500 mark if they had a solid DEF. It's just painfully bad.

It sounds simple, but Tennessee just need playmakers. They have for too many average skill position players. Whitehurst can do them a job, so can Mettenberger. The smart move for them would be to try and trade down and pick up a few more picks. Trade down to someone who wants Mariota more than they do, draft Amari Cooper or another instant impact player and build from there.
