DCJonah
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using this on their website? Does villa talk use it? How much traffic does your site need to have for it to actually generate money?
Dodgyknees
A lot. A site I helped run made about £20 p/y on it and it was quite a successful site.
limpid Posted October 19, 2014 Administrator Share Posted October 19, 2014 VillaTalk used to use it. People kept posting things google didn't like and in the end they pulled the plug.
P3te
I haven't used it for any projects recently, but about 5 years ago I had a message board, way smaller than this, that was earning about 40 a month from it.

penguin
I used to run a small network of blogs and did ok with Adsense, you do need to be careful with the content of your website and ad placement though as Google are very strict with their T&Cs. Due to internet users becoming more and more savvy, using programs like AdBlock and recognising the distinct look of Adsense adds, the click through rates of platforms like Adsense have taken a hit from what you used to be able to achieve. So would need a decent amount of traffic dependant on the topic of your site, different topics pay different rates per click, off the top of my head an average click through rate is about 3%. Better off with an affiliate network and choosing a decent advert/offer targeted to the demographic of your website imo.
