Premier League Predictions Week 6 (27-29 Sep )

Recommended Posts

Evening, well last Sunday buggered it up particularly for most people, as well as the Liverpool game, with quite a few low scores, including a spectacular 0 unfortunately scored by Morley_crosses_to_Withe. Unlucky. Congratulations to Isa who topped score with 9 points though to take something of an early break from the leaders at the top, although 3 of those points were for shamefully predicting the villa arsenal score correctly. For Shame! Table will be up on the other thread sometime tomorrow I guess.

*possible points amendment alert*
Also, considering a totalitarian implementation of a double points element, in the similar vein to a wildcard in fantasy football. Would be available possibly twice a season, where you can nominate ( in advance obviously ) a week when you want your points to score double for that week - think this might help sustain interest amongst those who are losing ( so a quick look at the table might lead to the accusation of self interest here :P ) as the season goes on. If there's a backlash I shall withdraw, but otherwise from Week 7 it would be available.

(As for the mooted individual scorers, that's a bit too much of a ballache for me to keep track of, now that I'm no longer unemployed, so I won't do that )

Best of luck!
Recap:

1 point for correct result
3 points for correct score
no edits after the matches kick off, can predict some matches if you miss earlier ones.
new players welcome

I think if you make any changes, maybe add 2 points for correct goal difference. So if

you predict 0-0, and the score is 1-1 or 2-2, you get 2 points...dunno if thats a big pain in the ass to do though.

I like the idea of wildcard weeks.

I think if you make any changes, maybe add 2 points for correct goal difference. So if
you predict 0-0, and the score is 1-1 or 2-2, you get 2 points...dunno if thats a big pain in the ass to do though.

But then you could predict 1-0 and get bonus points for a 5-4, not very fair because you were really quite wrong!
