limpid Posted September 24, 2014 Administrator Share Posted September 24, 2014 I'm going to try to remember to do this each month. Please remind me if I forget. This poll will be open for the first week of the month.
Oaks
Tough couple of games, and another couple of tough games to come. It's hard to judge my optimism, so I picked average.
Danwichmann
There was always going to be a reality check over our current run of games, but overall still very happy. With Benteke's return getting close I'm optimistic for a top half finish.
IwishIwasalivein1982
one more point in the next two games and we can consider this horrific run a slight success IMO.
PaulC
If we loose our next two games we will probably drop into the lower half of the table, which is still good but then the pressure will be back on us to start picking up points.
maqroll
Back to reality...that said, this is clearly the best Villa side in a few years, and our best player hasn't even played a game yet. If we can remain healthy, beat the teams we should, and add a player or two in January, I think 9th-10th place is possible.
AVTuco Posted October 2, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted October 2, 2014 Champions league may be out of our reach, but I remain optimistic that when Vlaar returns our defense becomes a rock again. And Benteke will take care of business in the attack. So yes, optimistic until proven otherwise.
Qwpzxjor1
I'm not going to let losses to Arsenal and Chelsea (and probably Man City) affect my optimism. Our season behind again against Everton, who will be tough. Then QPR complete this month. I'm hoping I'll start the November thread with similar optimism, but 4 points from Everton and QPR are required.
Rodders
3 defeats on the trot and we're still in the top 7, a place we'd do very well to be in come the season's end so our start can't have been too bad at all. Think, with Benteke to now be involved once more and the new signings more time to settle we can look forward in two weeks time to picking up points again, although Everton away is about as hard as it get's after the top 4!
