Stevo985 Posted September 18, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 18, 2014 Quick question for any google play music users. I have lots of music that I have... acquired... over the years and their album information and artwork don't show up in Google Play Music. It's no big deal, but I was wondering if anyone knew any clever way to update this automatically. I can go through and do it all manually but thought there might be something that does it for me as it will take ages to do it all myself.
limpid Posted September 18, 2014 Administrator Share Posted September 18, 2014 Most of mine was detected automagically. So little wasn't that I've left it missing.
darrenm
I remember being able to right click on albums or songs and choose to use the suggestions for tags which may include album art.
Stevo985 Posted September 18, 2014 Author VT Supporter Share Posted September 18, 2014 The suggestions thing is there, but for most of it it's greyed out and I can't use it
darrenm
Probably need to add album art before uploading then either using wmp or (grimaces) iTunes.
PompeyVillan
You can get an album art download apps, not sure if they update your cloud data but I used one a few years ago to sort all acquired music stored locally on my phone.
Stevo985 Posted September 18, 2014 Author VT Supporter Share Posted September 18, 2014 That's the kind of thing I'm after. DO you happen to remember the name?
Stevo985 Posted September 18, 2014 Author VT Supporter Share Posted September 18, 2014 Found one. Unfortunately music "pinned" through Google Play Music appears to be invisible to other apps even though it's on the device somewhere so it's not picking them up. PompeyVillan
I had that issue when I had filled internal storage and wanted Google music on SD card.
