Dr_Pangloss
I reckon it'll take him a good half a season to get settled as he's clearly not looked up to the pace as yet. The good thing is he looks a lot better on the ball than some suggested, which means once he's up to speed he's likely to be an important player for us. TrentVilla Posted September 19, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 19, 2014 In 6-12 months, we'll all be talking about what a good bit of business this was. I agree. While it doesn't always happen, the number of times this has happened after people have had concerns over a player or even written them off would, you would think, encourage a little caution from people when a player is adjusting to the pace of the PL. There are no certainties with any player but jumping to conclusions on them after a couple of cameo appearances is in my view a little foolish.

AlwaysAVFC
Experienced premier league players can be a bit off pace coming off the bench, let alone someone who's barely got any minutes under his belt. So no reason to be concerned at all.
lapal_fan
I'm suprised he's 29! Thought he was about 27, he was only cheap, but I assume he won't have any resale value?

VillaChris
His International performances (there's consecutive Copa America's coming up over the next two years) should mean we get our money back if he dosen't adapt here.
grobs
I got ridiculed on here for saying how bad he was two weeks ago. If today doesn't prove my point I'm not sure what will. Worst player on the pitch. I'll gladly eat the whole humble pie if by some miracle he turns out to be useful at best

Ponky
Second half he seemed to keep up a bit better and break up play but his passing was still not great. Trying to contain the Arsenal midfield was probably not the best game for him to start in.
The_Steve
Ladies and gentleman....Meet the boo boy's new scapegoat. Sanchez was thrown into the match minutes before kick off, and was probably also struggling with the bug, not the ideal match against a side like Arsenal.
