Was it me or did Cech look like a right fanny then who couldn't wait to get off?

I didn't buy in to the twisted knee stuff itv were suggesting, the bang didn't look bad enough and he didn't land on it, but he did seem to grab about 4 parts of his body and have a moan about them to the physio

First time ever a club has had 3 goalkeepers playing in the same game?

They played 3 against Reading when Cech's head got mullered and Cudicini also went off.

Actually I think John Terry went in goal IIRC, so maybe not!

Sorry if this is bin dunne but what is the deal with Madrid playing the Chelsea keeper? Did they pay the money? Did Chelsea waiver the fee? Is a deal struck on another of their players?

was rumoured to be €3m per game, but that clause was because of some wrangling of the fees because atletico couldn't afford the initial fees and courtois himself wanting to stay there, it's now rumoured that they've wrangled another deal for the summer and the €6m will be part of that, not sure if it's courtois for another year or if it's costa going to Chelsea

nope, uefa informed them that it would be illegal to charge atletico to play him and any gentlemens agreement would be against their rules

Part of uefa statement about it

The integrity of sporting competition is a fundamental principle for Uefa.

‘Both the Uefa Champions League and the Uefa Disciplinary Regulations contain clear provisions which strictly forbid any club to exert, or attempt to exert, any influence whatsoever over the players that another club may (or may not) field in a match.

‘It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as Uefa is concerned.

‘Any attempt to enforce such a provision would be a clear violation of both the Uefa Champions League and the Uefa Disciplinary Regulations and would therefore be sanctioned accordingly.
