StefanAVFC
http://dinopoloclub.com/minimetro/ Really, really good game. In it's Alpha stage. You have to create a metro system for an ever-growing city.

NurembergVillan Posted March 9, 2014 Moderator Share Posted March 9, 2014 Got a bit hooked last night but felt I needed more instructions - I don't understand the pop out upgrades panel on the left for instance.
StefanAVFC
I presume that'll come with time. It's fantastic for an alpha.
villa4europe
it could do with being bigger and slowing itself down, think its the 3rd week when the diamonds and crosses start coming and it gets really messy really quick they could do more with just the circles, squares and triangles first good game
snowychap
I'm not very good at it. I think the best I have managed is about 466 passengers.

Houseoftomorrow
Already hooked. Got a lot less frustrating once I figured out you can pause the game by clicking the clock. 500 passengers is always my target score, I lucked out once and got 661 (only time I made it to 600). Can't wait for the infinite play mode.

There are so many times where i've been desperate for a pause function because I want to rewire my entire system but I didn't know it existed. I've been averaging high 300s but this will greatly help.
ThunderPower_14
You can get really lucky or unlucky with the placement of stations. If they mix up the placement of the stations well it's quite easy to get 500. Last game I had 6 circles, 1 triangle and 1 star above the river, and only one square on the map, below the river. A decent mix below, but the stations that linked to bridges couldn't handle the squares banking up above the river.

If you start with three stations on one side of the river you're set. I'd be interested in hearing some tips from people who can get to 600 on a regular basis. I seem to have trouble with the 450-550 passenger level. Only real tips I have: - Make sure each line has a variety of stops, i.e. no O,O,Tr,O lines. I always shoot for one circle, one triangle, and (hopefully) one square on each line - Avoid using both tunnels early in the game (I hate having to purchase a tunnel early) - Buy more lines early (can alleviate congestion with more lines instead of upgrading capacity) - Usually there's a "pause and destroy" period where I redo most of the lines. The specialty stops always screw things up. - If you delete the track with the capacity upgrade you lose the extra car when it's rebuilt. Which is why I avoid that upgrade until I'm 100% certain I need it, and I know the tracks aren't going to change - Overlap stations with multiple lines. Square is the least frequent stop, eliminating transfers will extend the game - Get lucky

Thanks for the info - off hoping that makes all the (or at least some) difference. Edited March 11, 2014 by snowychap
hogso
Is this fun in a way Train Simulator or Euro Truck Simulator is fun?

Houseoftomorrow
If you haven't played it since in the last couple of days, there are no more tunnel restrictions (trains do go slower in the river tunnels). The tunnel reward was replaced by more train capacity upgrades, which really lengthens the game.
Nath182
Great game, unfortunately I've only managed to get to 283 passengers. I'm never quite sure whether to take another line or upgrade capacity of a train. Looking forward to the release of the iOS app.
