Kiev Burning

In the meantime, Klitschko and other opposition leaders have been shaking hands with Angular, today.

Newsnight and C4 reports showed people pretty much taking to the streets in revolt - I'm not sure how else one could interpret a couple of blokes in full view of cameras tossing a molotov through the front door of the HQ of the governing party (unless it was a little bit of drop the dead donkey style cash!).

I really wish Obama would stay out of other countries' business. He has no moral authority to be preaching to other governments about freedom and democratic values. It's an embarrassment. Until he can lead by example, his words ring hollow.

Obama is a hypocrite.

Well he was democratically elected the President of the United States, which automatically assigns him to the offices of Leader of The Free World, Most Powerful Man In The World, and Intergalactic Ambassador For Freedom.

Whilst I'm no fan of American imperialism, right now the alternative for the people in Western Ukraine is to be dictated to by Putin.

If I was in a tight spot and had a choice of Obama or Putin I'd go with Obama for now and worry about the finer points later.
